The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Engineer II to design and develop an immersive VR experience for promoting mutual understanding and fostering social cohesion between in/outgroups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create an immersive VR experience (IVE) and 3D environments
• Develop gamified interactive experience for user studies
• Suggest potential improvement of features to make IVE more engaging, interactive and immersive
• Collaborate with other researchers in a multidisciplinary team who will provide academic input

Job Requirements:

• Minimally Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field from reputable universities
• Preferably with at least 3 years experience in similar role
• Basic understanding of 3d model asset management
• Previous experiences in VR/AR content development and/or specific understanding of VR/AR
• Experience in developing using Unity or similar game engines
• Writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
• Ability to manage own time effectively and deliver required tasks with minimal supervision
• Good teamwork skills

Requirements:

• Minimum Master in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of working experience with emphasis on RTL/SoC/digital design.
• Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Proficient in VCS, Verdi, or similar industry-standard tools.
• Skilled in pre-layout and post-layout simulation.
• Knowledgeable about the design flow and collaboration with backend teams.
• Familiar with AMBA APB and AXI protocols.
• Familiar with RISC/Arm or other core architectures.

Requirements:
