Job Description

• To handle and calculate the quantity and costing of the different tender assignment. Technical review on the supplier/contractor quotation or proposal and make sure that all requirements are complied.
• Familiar and able to understand general contracts and various documents.
• Able to provide budget cost or estimates as per instruction.
• Liaise with suppliers for their products and services presentation.
• Able to design and look for solution regarding any technical problems during tender.
• Able to communicate with other Departments in dealing with various documents and issues.
• Coordinate with the supplier/contractor regarding follow up on bills and quantities.
• To evaluate and check on market unit rates monthly /quarterly for material and labour cost.
• To handover all tender document and costing to project team once the tender is awarded.
• To attend site show round for those tender that we are interested.
• To reply tender clarification, preparation for tender interview and presentation.

• Responsible for surveying works during the full phases of a construction, ensuring measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites are accurate
• Levelling, traversing, setting-out, data collecting, topography, settlement monitoring, etc.
• Perform land surveying / measurements using variety of specialist technical equipment
• Perform levelling and traversing to transfer TBM and reference line
• Coordinate and planning daily site survey works

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Land Surveying or Geo-spatial information and technology or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experiences as Surveyor, preferably with LTA infrastructure projects
• Well- versed in using total station
• Candidate should have technical expertise and knowledge in Civil Engineering Construction especially in foundation, structural, ERSS and viaduct
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Auto CAD
• Candidates with CSCPM/BCSS/Confined space/Work At Height certificates would be an advantage

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Oversee all phases of construction projects, from inception to handover. Develop detailed project plans, establish timelines, define milestones, and allocate resources effectively.

- Manage project budgets meticulously. Forecast costs, identify potential overruns, and implement strategies to stay within financial constraints.

- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Ensure open communication channels, proactively address concerns, and negotiate solutions that satisfy all parties.

- Guide and motivate a team of operational staff. Provide clear direction, delegate tasks, offer timely feedback, and resolve conflicts to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.

- Uphold the highest standards of workmanship. Conduct regular site inspections, enforce safety regulations, and ensure full compliance with industry codes and best practices.

- Anticipate potential challenges and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions and delays. Proactively escalate issues and propose solutions.

- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders. Present insights on project status, potential bottlenecks, and recommended actions. Maintain thorough project documentation.

Requirements:

- Any Bachelor's degree (Civil Engineering or a related field preferred).

- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in managing building construction projects, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.

- Advanced knowledge of construction methodologies and civil-related software such as AutoCAD.

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

- Strong problem-solving mindset and commitment to finding innovative solutions.

- Willing to work in different shifts as required including the weekends (when required).
