NIE invites suitable applications for the position of Manager, Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD) under the Office of Education Research (OER). The selected candidate will assume administrative leadership at the Centre and support the Centre’s initiatives. This is a 3-year contract position, and may be renewed depending on the Institute’s needs and the individual’s performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the administrative team in supporting CRCD Principal Investigators (PIs) in various project-related matters such as human resource, finance, and grant management processes.
- Ensure good governance and compliance across research administration processes.
- Support the CRCD management in executing the Centre’s strategic initiatives and meetings.
- Write reports/papers and prepare presentation slides for the Centre’s strategic reporting to internal and external stakeholders as well as host visitors to CRCD/NIE.
- Act as a liaison between the Centre and internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide administrative leadership in organising research symposiums, workshops, and other academic events.
- Represent the Centre in administrative task forces and committees.
- Other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
Requirements
- A university degree.
- Proven experience in administrative roles for at least 10 years, preferably in an academic or research setting.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
