- Supports managers to plan, manage and propagate Patient Service Associate ( PSA ) core knowledge and skills training so as to advance and improve PSA practices in accordance to the institution needs and service direction.
- Delivers effective training for Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs) staff.
- Assists in the development of PSA Propel training curriculum and prepare training manuals, guides and materials for SOCs to ensure staff members develop and maintain a thorough knowledge that is required for SOC operations.
- Supports Manager in collaboration with IT department and Human Resource Development to enhance the quality of education for PSA and trainees.
Training of SOC Patient Service teams
1. Plans, organizes and delivers PSA Propel training for outpatient PSAs.
2. Assists in the development and review of training curriculum and assessment for PSA Propel training to ensure the outpatient PSAs have relevant competencies to support SOC operations.
3. Communicates and performs trainees’ evaluation to ensure that training goals are met.
4. Evaluates and reviews trainees’ post-course performance and provide support to implement appropriate corrective measures if necessary.
5. Provides systems know-how to facilitate new system user training and give guidance and support to the staff during new system roll-out.
6. Provides training support for new policies or systems roll-out if required.
Outpatient IT Systems Administration
1. Creates and maintains outpatient IT system user training manuals.
2. Participates in SOC-related improvement initiatives and projects.
3. Supports system enhancements for process improvement.
4. Engages various internal and external stakeholders/agencies to collate the project/ enhancement scope, specifications and assist in planning the infrastructure of the projects for testing and training.
5. Provides support for institution or cluster-wide outpatient IT systems upgrade or new services roll-out.
6. Participates and represents SOCs in UAT at the hospital and cluster level.
OMU Administration
1. Plans and coordinates SOC workgroup meetings and record minutes of meeting.
2. Supports OMU administrative duties when required.
3. Assists in collating information and data across outpatient setting, as required.
4. Supports Supervisor to ensure proper documentation of policies and information.
GENERAL
1. Participates in quality improvement projects at Hospital/Department level.
2. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills with the public and staff.
3. Supports clinic corporate events and compile name list for training purposes.
4. Highlights issues related to outpatient processes to the Clinic Managers.
5. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
Min Diploma in any discipline
Prior Customer Service experience will be advantageous
