The main objective of this role is to support GustoMSC's customers in keeping the company's offshore equipment, such as heavy lift cranes, electrical and hydraulic jacking systems, skidding systems, and fixation systems, fit for purpose and safe to operate. As a Service and Commissioning Engineer, you will represent GustoMSC while performing inspections, installations, commissioning, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting on this equipment worldwide.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ÿ Perform inspections, installation, FATs, commissioning, repair, upgrading, troubleshooting, and related service work on GustoMSC’s GLC-2000-ED-SB cranes, NG-9000C jacking systems, and other similar GustoMSC offshore equipment at a software, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical level.
• Ÿ Supervise maintenance on the assigned GustoMSC equipment such as the GLC-2000-ED-SB cranes and NG-9000C jacking systems.
• Ÿ Provide client support during rig moves and jacking trials involving GustoMSC equipment.
• Ÿ Advise customers on the use, spare parts, maintenance, and potential updates/upgrades for GustoMSC's crane, jacking, and other offshore systems.
• Ÿ Prepare work method statements and accurate, thorough reports related to servicing and maintaining GustoMSC equipment.
• Ÿ Provide technical customer support from the office on GustoMSC's crane, jacking, and other offshore product lines.
• Ÿ Be available for 24-hour callouts when issues arise with GustoMSC equipment.
• Ÿ Carry out work on GustoMSC systems to the highest quality standards.
• Ÿ Conduct pre-job meetings and toolbox talks specific to GustoMSC equipment.
• Ÿ Promote a safety and quality culture around the use and maintenance of GustoMSC designs.

Skills & Experience required.

• Ÿ Vocational Diploma or Certificate or Associate Degree in mechanical, hydraulic, mechatronics, or electrical engineering and/or Bachelor's Degree or University of Applied Sciences Degree in mechanical, hydraulic, mechatronics, or electrical engineering, with a focus on heavy industry or offshore equipment.
• Ÿ Approximately 5-15 years of relevant work experience in maintaining and servicing GustoMSC's GLC-2000-ED-SB cranes, NG-9000C jacking systems, and other similar offshore equipment, including experience in leading a multi-disciplinary commissioning team.
• Ÿ In-depth knowledge of the technical specifications, operation, and maintenance requirements of GustoMSC's crane, jacking, and other offshore product lines.
• Ÿ Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade GustoMSC equipment at a software, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical level.
• Ÿ Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary commissioning team.
• Ÿ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, for reporting and documentation related to GustoMSC equipment.
• Ÿ Fluent in written and spoken English for effective communication with GustoMSC's international clients.
• Ÿ Strong reporting and customer service skills to support GustoMSC's aftermarket services.
• Ÿ Safety-conscious and able to follow procedures and policies specific to working on GustoMSC offshore equipment.
• Ÿ Willingness to work abroad, including offshore, and be available for evening/weekend work when GustoMSC equipment requires attention.

Quality Essential Desirable Qualifications:

• Vocational Diploma or Certificate (e.g., BTEC, City & Guilds, NVQ) or associate degree in mechanical, hydraulic, mechatronics or electrical engineering and/or

Quality Assurance

• Ÿ Comply with quality assurance procedures, contribute to quality improvements, and suggest preventive/corrective actions to enhance quality.
• Ÿ Ensure all work on GustoMSC equipment meets company standards by implementing quality control measures, maintaining records, and participating in audits.
• Ÿ Identify quality issues, report non-conformances, and assist in developing quality improvement initiatives for GustoMSC's aftermarket services.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with marine engines, auxiliary systems, and other vessel components.
• Perform repairs on inboard/outboard engines, including fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance to ensure shipboard systems are in good working order.
• Maintain cleanliness in ship and engine rooms when onboard.
• Provide detailed reports on repairs and explain services performed to customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and time spent.
• Collaborate with other technicians and assist in mentoring junior staff.

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in marine mechanics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in marine service and repair.
• Strong mechanical skills, with knowledge of marine engines and cargo pumps.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and handle physically demanding tasks.

Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, providing
