You will be a key member to provide leadership, strategic direction and managerial oversight of Finance’s work plans to meet the Hospital’s vision and mission. You will plan and establish fee adjustment policies and procedures and ensure the Hospital’s compliance within the overall cluster framework. You should position as a strategic partner and digital enabler to the SGH leadership by proactively driving diverse digital and automation agenda within the unit. You will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of regulatory and management reports of clinical costing activities.

Education, Training and Experience

• Degree in Accountancy or recognized professional qualification in accountancy
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to work in a dynamic, complex and fast-faced environment and manage changing priorities
• Strategic thinker with ability to influence and deliver to multi-stakeholders
• Possess depth in knowledge and understanding of digital and automation technology
• At least 14 years of relevant work experience in healthcare financing in a hospital setting and of which 10 years are in a managerial capacity

What the day will look like

Broker Support

• Co-ordinate the technical requirements/needs of the clients and reinsurers and deliver Aon projects to reflect these.
• Build and maintain regular contact with clients and reinsurers in a proactive manner to mitigate potential risks/problems or develop opportunities.
• Initiate/review/prepare reinsurance submissions/underwriting narrative/debriefs using proprietary technical knowledge.
• Provide technical support to service reinsurance placements: assisting brokers with new business opportunities, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
• Update reinsurance placement activity on broker systems – processing data accurately and promptly.
• Preparing and checking contracts / endorsements / invoices.
• Work with internal departments to ensure prompt billing and timely issuance of documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to manage credit control for outstanding payments.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate governance.
• Communication and collaboration with clients and reinsurers: building relationships.
• Work on operational projects to improve service standards.
• Monitor revenue and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues throughout the Asia Pacific and Global Facultative network to achieve objectives
• Assist in management of broker support team where necessary

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any discipline.
• 8+ relevant re/insurance experience preferably with exposure to Facultative Reinsurance.
• Proficient with various computer systems, including (but not limited to) MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate both written and verbal effectively and confidently.
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and ability to make/communicate difficult decisions.
• Ability to organize a wide range of tasks from various sources and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
