We are therefore recruiting for a new L&OD Lead to support this journey. The role is based in Singapore but will also support colleagues in our Perth office. Occasional travel to Australia and the UK will therefore be required.

We believe that the most effective learning happens on the job so we are looking for a learning & development professional who is willing to roll up their sleeves and deliver learning interventions wherever needed – that may be during a shoreline response exercise on East Coast beach, in one of our warehouses or offices, or aboard one of our vessels during an offshore exercise.

Purpose of role:

To support the Global Head of L&OD in the effective delivery of the overall L&OD strategy with leadership of the APAC region. The post holder will identify development needs, design, create and deliver learning solutions across the organisation at every level. They will also be responsible for setting clear points of evaluation and be able to demonstrate the degree of success achieved for all L&OD interventions within the APAC region.

Key responsibilities:

1. Lead the creation, design, delivery and evaluation of L&OD initiatives that meet the requirements of colleagues in the APAC region.
2. Work with regional stakeholders to effectively align the design, development, prioritisation and deployment of learning solutions with business needs
3. Ensure OSRL develops and retains valued contributors; meeting both their career aspirations and the business’s strategic objectives.
4. Advise regional stakeholders on managing their respective training budget allocation, maximising opportunities for cost effective learning solutions and leveraging grants and subsidies where possible
5. Work with external providers to commission services that meet the learning and delivery requirements in a cost effective and timely manner.
6. Work with the Human Resource Business Partners to collate and analyse L&OD needs identified through the Performance Management system in support of individual development and business objectives.
7. Project manage regional L&OD projects, learning initiatives and interventions to meet business requirements from inception to evaluation, to ensure achievable milestones are set, deadlines are met, stakeholders are engaged and reporting on effectiveness of project deliverables.
8. Communicate effectively internally to market the services and programmes available via L&OD and provide advice and guidance to HR practitioners, senior management and line managers to assist with the identification and best fit L&OD interventions.
9. Role model a learning mindset by identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of L&OD
10. Support business activity in talent planning, by developing “employee career paths” and “future talent pools” at all levels within the organisation to ensure that succession and development pipelines are sufficient to fulfil the immediate and future needs of the organisation.

• A degree level qualification in a L&OD related field
• At least 4 years’ experience in L&OD
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and influence within a matrix organisation

Additional responsibilities

• Meeting budgeted revenue targets for PTC and ensuring that the APAC PTC business, at a minimum, reaches financial break-even.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan marketing activities within agreed budgets, aiming to meet or exceed target sales volumes and revenues within established timelines. Ensure the Training section of the company website is regularly updated in collaboration with the Marketing Department.
• Handle and closely follow up on all PTC sales enquiries via email, telephone, and personal visits when necessary.
• Partner with the Marketing and Business Development Teams to carry out market research, customer surveys, and competitor analysis, staying informed about general market conditions to continuously refine the Sales plan for business growth.
• Maintain the CRM database with current information on customers who have utilized or may need our Training services.
• Support the APAC Preparedness Solutions Manager in budget preparation for PTC and provide advice on pricing strategy in line with Market Positioning.

Requirements:

• Diploma in business, sales or marketing or related field is an advantage.

Purpose of the role:

This position involves strategising and executing direct marketing and sales initiatives aimed at expanding the reach of OSRL Published Training Courses (PTC) to both Members and third parties in the Asia Pacific region, in alignment with established business plans and targets. Additional role to focuses on serving as a Preparedness Solution Advisor which plays a vital role in driving revenue growth in alignment with the company strategy, by identifying and nurturing leads, building strong relationships with existing and new customers, as well as other stakeholders, and converting opportunities for all preparedness business streams into profitable contracts as well as securing new Members and subscribers to supplementary services. Responsible for understanding our services thoroughly, tailoring solutions to meet the needs of our members and other potential customers. This role requires effective communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a proactive attitude.

Key responsibilities:

• Accountable for achieving budgeted revenue targets for PTC and as a minimum achieve sales that allow the APAC PTC business to financially break even.
• Accountable for planning and implementing marketing activities (direct and cold calls, emails, use of social media, customer visits and other marketing techniques) to agreed budgets to achieve or exceed target sales volumes and revenues within agreed timelines. Keep the Training section of the company website updated, in conjunction with Marketing Department.
• Respond to and maintain close follow up of all PTC sales enquiries by email, telephone and personal visits when required.
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support and liaison with client decision makers.
• Work with Marketing and Business Development Teams to carry out market research, customer surveys, competitor analysis and be knowledgeable about general market conditions in order to input and update Sales plan on an ongoing basis to grow the business.
• Keep current the CRM database on customers who had/potentially need our Training.
• Contribute to the company culture of continuous improvement and working as a team.
• Assist APAC Preparedness Solutions Manager in the preparation of the budget for PTC and advise on the pricing strategy in alignment with Market Positioning.
• Work with Marketing Team to create and manage PTC marketing campaigns.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage the PTC business.

Additional responsibilities

• Meet sales targets to generate income for assigned accounts, countries, regions, or services.
• Conduct research to identify potential clients and opportunities for new and repeat business.
• Initiate contact with prospective clients through cold calls, emails, and networking.
• Collaborate with team members to create high-quality, commercially viable proposals and presentations.
