Responsibilities:

• Conduct extensive research and analysis on risk and technology industry sector, market trends, regulatory changes, competitor activities and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in risk and technology;
• Educates on the use of new technology, ensures products and solutions are applied in a manner;
• Develop a deep understanding of the risk and the latest technology to provide expert insights and guidance to support decision-making to banks and fintech companies on an operational and strategic level;
• Analyse and interpret data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities. Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders;
• Utilize research findings and data analysis to develop forecasts and projections related to risks and technology on an industry and financial institution level.

• Timeliness of deliverables by delivering projects or reports on time;
• The number of industry stakeholders that have been engaged with over a period of time.

Requirements:

• Possess a recognised degree (Masters preferred);
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills is a must;
• Demonstrate strong aptitude and 2 to 3 years proven work experience as a Research Professional in the financial services;
• Broad knowledge of technology landscape. Sufficient technical understanding to assess trends and technologies for relevance and viability;
• Experience doing risk research/technology research. Well aware of research methodology and processes;
• Well versed with IT ecosystem, IT enabled services;
• Strong skills in the use of statistical Word, Excel and PowerPoint software;
• Able to formulate, execute and work on multiple projects simultaneously;

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keeping abreast of the developments taking place in the financial service industry in areas assigned to you, through constant research, interviews and direct interaction with the community;
• Delivering editorial and research assignments accurately and professionally; this includes initiating interviews, conceptualizing research angles, collating data and producing articles and data infographics that are of high editorial standards, through all publishing media, including but not limited to print, online, social media, multimedia (video production), webinar and events;
• Assisting in the organization and development of events, trainings and related programmes in the industry, including presenting at some of them and moderating sessions, using knowledge acquired in the course of your work;
• Building a database of industry practitioners, including bankers and related vendors and service providers who are the customers of the Company;
• Working closely with your editorial and research peers to ensure that assignments given to you are delivered in a timely manner, within given deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators

For the purposes of your periodic reviews, your performance will be measured by the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):-

• The number, range and quality of the professionals you interview and interact with in the industry in the course of your work. This is important because we expect all our researchers to actively interact with actual players in the industry;
• The number and quality of your written output. We expect that you will produce 6-10 high quality research reports annually, or their equivalent, as well as on-going short opinion pieces engendered in the course of your work;
• The number of projects you have completed in a timely manner managed under your care,
• Your contribution to the sales and commercial viability of the products given under you care;
• Your general contribution to the overall well-being and status of the Company in the marketplace.
