We are currently recruiting an Assistant Manager to join the Research Achievements, Impact and Strategic Enhancement (RAISE) Unit at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine).
The Research Achievements, Impact and Strategic Enhancement (RAISE) Unit is a relatively new unit that is established to develop strategies to enhance the research impact, visibility and reputation of the school institutionally, nationally and internationally. It sits within the ambit of the LKCMedicine Research Administration and Support Services Department under the Vice Dean of Research Office. You will be part of a dynamic and trailblazing team at the vanguard of highlighting and reporting on the school’s research impact and achievements. You will also work with other departments including the School Faculty, Finance, Office of Innovation and Enterprise (OIE) and Office of Patient Engagement (OPEN).
Responsibilities:
- Organize and staff research programme meetings including minutes writing
- Liaise and work closely with research programme directors to consolidate the research achievements of each programme for reporting to the School Management, Governing Board and Board of Trustees
- To produce PowerPoint slide decks for high-level corporate presentations, reporting purposes and school-wide communications
- To assist the RAISE Unit in the production of materials for visual communication, including report figures and infographics for presentations and reports
- To consolidate updates and information received by the RAISE Unit such as media releases/publicity, publication updates from Faculty, awards and achievements from Faculty
- Assist with the preparation of Dean’s Management Report (quarterly) and the school annual report
- Monitor and track the budget expenditure of internally funded grants and work together with Principal Investigators / Programme Directors to facilitate budget phasing and expenditure when necessary
- Assist to coordinate the annual budget exercise for research division working closely with different stakeholders to ensure budget marksmanship
- Manage the school internal grants which includes post grant operations such as account creation, budget loading, account closure
- Any ad-hoc tasks where required
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Sciences, Business Administration, Media, Arts and Design
- Preferably more than 5 years of related working experience in academic / research / healthcare industry
- Experience in designing visuals, infographics, creating professional and attractive powerpoint slides for management
- Experience in minutes writing and generating minutes in a short time frame
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially MS Powerpoint, MS Excel
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop or related software
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Meticulous, positive attitude, able to multi-task, and work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Resourceful, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to develop new ideas and provide conceptual solutions
This is a 2 years contract appointment.
