The Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research Centre (HIPER) (https://hiper.nus.edu.sg/) at the SSHSPH, NUS, is seeking to hire a highly organized and detail-oriented research assistant to support both administrative and financial functions within our research program.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support:

Financial Support:

• Expense Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling program-related expenses, credit card statements, and receipts.
• Financial Reporting: Assist to prepare basic financial reports, including monthly expenditure summaries and budget forecasts, to facilitate financial oversight and decision-making.
• Reimbursements: Process reimbursement requests, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.

Cross-functional Support:

• Record-Keeping: Maintain an organized filing system for both administrative and financial documents, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Data Entry and Reporting: Input and update data, maintain spreadsheets, and generate summaries and reports as needed to support activities and program management.
• Ad-Hoc Support: Assist the Center Manager and other staff with ad-hoc administrative and financial tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the program.

Job Description

Genetic engineering of plants promises to provide sustainable solutions for food security and climate change mitigation. Current genetic engineering technologies using Agrobacterium, viruses and nanoparticles through syringe injection and biolistic bombardment suffer from limitations including narrow ranges of host species, low transformation efficiencies, strict restrictions on cargo types and sizes, tissue damage and unwanted transgene integration into plant genome. A major challenge to deliver exogenous material into plants is the cell wall barrier. Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition CLIC is a research collaboration between the University of Cambridge and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) that aims to develop neuroscience-based interventions for lifelong flexible learning. Optimizing the performance of health systems is essential to ensuring the wellbeing and longevity of populations worldwide. The new Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP) aims to advance research in this area within the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (NUS) as the leading centre for research in health systems in Asia with the following core functions:

1. Research: empirical and methodological research and evidence synthesis on health systems performance with a particular focus on Value Based Healthcare.
