• To apply machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy of the inferencing system
• To select and analyze specific Android brand/model on their compatibility with the side-channel inferencing system

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Research Engineer will be responsible for hands-on and implementation tasks to support the PERFLEXO research project. His/her core responsibilities are:

• Take over from the previous Research Engineer the building of "wrappers" for scientific code into publicly usable packages so that PERFLEXO algorithms can be freely/easily used and tested by the industry and the academic community
• Perform dataset preparation, code execution, performance recording and preliminary technical writing to support the PI's basic research under this project, especially with regards to the ACM TODS submission/revision.

• Minimum a 4-year Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher education
• A thesis must have been completed (e.g., Bachelor's thesis) since this is a research post and thus some basic prior experience of working in a concrete research project of non-trivial scale (such as in a thesis) would be needed

We will work with multipleuse cases so that we can abstract across them and develop generalized, reusable infrastructure. We will workwith specific customers so we can build useful applications on top of that infrastructure.You will contribute to the design and development of open-source software written to serve those use cases.You will work as part of a team of research engineers, developers, and domain expertise and you will beexpected to actively participate in team meetings and text-based communications. You will be expected to beactive members of the applied research community, by validating and contributing to advances in computational law.

You may be asked to conduct use-inspired research at the direction of the Principal Investigator. This includes

• reading academic papers, standards publications, and related material such as blog posts and presentations

You will be expected to participate in software development; this includes

• learning how to use third party tools, including editors, IDEs, databases, business process modeling software, programming languages, and libraries

Contract Duration: 12 Months Contract

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8.30am – 6pm, Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm
Basic Salary: Up to $2,980 per month

Responsibilities:

· Assist with setting up and tearing down of training venues and coordinating refreshments for induction sessions and Foundation Programme trainings.

· Provide tech support to trainers during trainings

· Collating of post-training feedback from participants and include into master database

· Administering of assessments during trainings

· Assist with administrative tasks, including attendance tracking and data entry.

· Provide onsite support for volunteer training on weekends (around 4 hours during one Friday night or Sat morning in a month)

· Prepare monthly training schedules

· In addition to the above stated duties, staff shall undertake such other duties from time to time as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology / Social Work / Social Sciences / Accounting or other relevant disciplines.
