JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the Learning Support Teacher is to support classroom teachers and subject specialists to identify, understand and address the learning needs of all of the young people in their classes, ensuring that each learner is engaged, confident and challenged to achieve.

This involves working directly with teachers and learners, and offering support and guidance to curriculum planning meetings (when necessary) and whole staff professional learning and development meetings. The Learning Support Teacher be responsible for facilitating the learning needs of all learners on the SEN register in their allocated year group(s), where necessary will collaborate with teachers in the classroom, produce Learner Passports and Personalised Learning Plans in collaboration with and for those with identified needs to promote their access to all aspects of the curriculum, use a strengths-based model to empower learners to take responsibility for their learning, use evidence-based interventions to meet the needs of learners and provide coaching to colleagues and parents where necessary.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with teachers to build capacity and awareness of pedagogical strategies to support learners with diverse needs.
• Support teachers to differentiate and build an inclusive culture within the classroom.
• Interpret specialist reports and produce learner passports/profiles for teachers.
• Work with parents, teachers and learners to develop collaborative action plans.
• Design and develop staff professional development workshops.
• Utilise appropriate assessments to inform next step teaching.
• Support teachers with assessment, analysis and evaluation.
• Attend year group and subject meetings to facilitate discussion around learners.
• Involvement in whole school events and activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• A recognised teaching qualification
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher qualification) in ​​​​Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
• Working knowledge of the PYP, MYP, IGCSE and IBDP frameworks and curricular
• Evidence of continued relevant professional development
• Experience working with bilingual and multilingual learners and learners with diverse needs
• A commitment to diversity, equality, inclusion and belonging

The Learning Support Educator provide face-to-face learning support sessions to students with hearing loss who are attending mainstream schools from primary to secondary level in the areas of English, Mathematics and cognitive skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Learning Support related duties

• Provide face-to-face learning support sessions to students.

• Assess and identify educational/developmental needs of student with hearing loss,

• Review with the team the current assessment tools or purchase research-based academic resources / assessment tools.

• Educate students on self-advocacy skills.

• Develop, implement and review appropriate intervention plans in line with the student’s individual education plan and monitor progress.

• Liaise and work with teachers, parents and other stakeholders involved through schools visits, meetings, reviews etc.

• Plan and conduct workshops/activities during school holidays

2. Operational duties

• Work with Learning Support Educators in strategising and meeting KPIs.

• Conduct review of Learning Support SOP and analyse processes for improvements.

• Plan and conduct outreach to stakeholders, including schools to increase awareness of ISS programme.

• Conduct review on assessment tools and make necessary recommendations.

• Work with ISS team on audit processes.

• Maintain proper records and documentation for programme reporting and audit purposes.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking an inspirational, experienced and highly motivated teacher who is passionate about extending the life chances of those who are neurodiverse and/or have additional learning needs. Highly organised and able to foster and maintain positive relationships with learners, parents, peers and external agencies alike, the Learning Support Integrator is responsible for improving learner access to our dynamic curriculum and supporting Teachers in understanding their needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the Learning Support Integrator is to support classroom teachers and subject specialists to identify, understand and address the learning needs of all of the young people in their classes, ensuring that each learner is engaged, confident and challenged to achieve.

This involves working directly with teachers and learners, and offering support and guidance to curriculum planning meetings and whole staff professional learning and development meetings. The Learning Support Integrator will collaborate with teachers in the classroom, produce Collaborative Action Plans for those with identified needs, use a strengths-based model to empower learners to take responsibility for their learning, use evidence-based interventions to meet the needs of learners and provide coaching to colleagues and parents where necessary.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with teachers to build capacity and awareness of pedagogical strategies to support learners with diverse needs.
• Support teachers to differentiate and build an inclusive culture within the classroom.
• Interpret specialist reports and produce learner profiles for teachers.
• Work with parents, teachers and learners to develop collaborative action plans.
• Design and develop staff professional development workshops.
• Utilise appropriate assessments to inform next step teaching.
• Support teachers with assessment, analysis and evaluation.
• Attend year group and subject meetings to facilitate discussion around learners.
• Involvement in whole school events and activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• A relevant degree plus teaching qualification (or equivalent)
• Higher degree or recognised professional qualification in Special Education, Psychology or Social Work (preferred)
• Working knowledge of the PYP, MYP, IGCSE and IBDP curricular
• Evidence of continued relevant professional development
• Experience working with bilingual and multilingual learners and learners with diverse needs
• A commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in an international school environment (preferred)

Job responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and deliver virtual, blended and classroom learning interventions (e.g. develop learning resources/materials and monitor/evaluate impact of learning interventions etc.)

• Work with subject matter experts and trainers to shape the course content, curriculum and learning outcomes. Provide support and assistance to associate trainers and resource persons for the smooth delivery of programmes.

• Partner public agencies to develop and customise L&D interventions to support their developmental plans

• Project manage the development of programmes and other workstreams, including managing stakeholders (e.g. Finance, AV, Admin and Estate and Customer Service), business processes, budget and timelines to support the effective delivery of learning interventions

• Responsible for full spectrum of course administration and logistic duties (incl. booking of training rooms, preparing training materials, managing suppliers and vendors, registration, setting up of classes, and ensuring timely payments)

• Manage the finances and procurement matters related to the programmes e.g. proper accrual of expenditures related to the programmes/events, prepare procurement documents, Invitation to Quote (ITQ)

• Responsible for keeping accurate and proper records. Manage databases e.g. for students alumni.

• Comply with college service standards and operations guidelines.

• Provide timely publicity of course information, issuing of course placement letters, billing of participants and payment to trainers and vendors.

• Work closely with Team Leader to provide timely course updates and raise any potential service lapses to Management.

Requirements:

- At least a diploma holder with minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in an administrative role.

- Excellent communication and written skills.

- Organized and meticulous.

- Team player, and able to work under pressure and short deadlines.

- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Good problem-solving and time management skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
