Trustworthy and Secure Cyber-Plexus for Digital Communities (TSCP-DC), is primarily focused on the cyber-security of the ensemble of subsystems that support “Digital Community” such as exist in the Singapore urban environment.
We are currently searching for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Principal / Senior Research Scientist within our dynamic team on cyber-security research.
In particular, one specific research task expected for this role is design and development of ``digital twin’’ of inter-connected smart city infrastructure and modelling of attacks for conducting cybersecurity planning, auditing, and cascading impact assessment.
In addition, the successful candidate is expected to supervise and guide research projects conducted in the centre, not limited to one described above, to deliver quality outcomes.
Responsibility includes the following.
- Lead design and development of digital twin for cybersecurity of smart city/nation infrastructure
- Supervise and guide research and development projects
- Plan and lead proposal writing to acquire external research grant
- Conduct innovative, quality research
We seek for a candidate with the following qualification.
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant fields
- 10+ years of research and development experience in academia or industry
- Solid technical foundation in cybersecurity and computer networking,
- Track of research record in cyber-physical systems security and/or cybersecurity
- PI experience in projects under competitive research grants
We also prioritize candidate with the following:
- Research experience in cybersecurity for smart cities and critical infrastructure
- Research experience in modelling, simulation, and emulation of complex cyber-physical systems
- Active contributions (e.g., program committee, conference/workshop organization) to academic/research community
