About the Team

The Applied Machine Learning - Machine Learning (ML) Systems team provides End to End (E2E) machine learning experience and machine learning resources for the company. The team builds heterogeneous ML training and inference systems based on GPU and advanced chip technology and advances the state-of-the-art of ML systems technology to accelerate models such as stable diffusion and language modelling. The team is also responsible for the research and development of hardware acceleration technologies for cloud computing, via technologies such as distributed systems, compilers, HPC, and RDMA networking. The team is reinventing the ML infra for large-scale language models.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the machine learning system development of the company's large-scale models, researching new applications and solutions of related technologies in areas such as search, recommendation, advertising, content creation, conversation, and customer service, meeting the growing demand for intelligent interaction from users, and comprehensively improving users' lifestyles and communication methods in the future world.

The main work directions include:

- Responsible for the design and development of the architecture of large-scale machine learning systems, solving technical difficulties such as high concurrency, high reliability, and high scalability of the system;

The Technical Infrastructure NoSQL team, situated in Singapore, serves TikTok and its associated mid-platforms and business divisions. This team operates on an immense scale, overseeing tens of thousands of servers and managing data volumes surpassing the petabyte mark. The team has engineered its own distributed key-value (KV) and caching systems, as well as globally distributed table storage solutions and large-scale graph databases. Employing state-of-the-art hardware and software stack technologies, they are committed to the ongoing development of the next generation of products.

What you will be doing:

1. Design and develop an in-house distributed training and inference system for Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) on extensive graph datasets;

2. Implement the use of Graph Embedding and GNNs in practical, real-world applications, which may include risk management, among others;

3. Integrate TikTok's diverse application contexts, such as recommendation, search, and risk control, to design, implement, and optimize neural network algorithm models. The objective is to leverage the GE/GNN approach for tangible business advantages in data-driven real-world scenarios;

4. Investigate potential advancements in graph neural network algorithms. Collaborate in the development of graph neural network frameworks;

What you will be doing:

1. Design and develop an in-house distributed training and inference system for Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) on extensive graph datasets;

2. Implement the use of Graph Embedding and GNNs in practical, real-world applications, which may include risk management, among others;

3. Integrate TikTok's diverse application contexts, such as recommendation, search, and risk control, to design, implement, and optimize neural network algorithm models. The objective is to leverage the GE/GNN approach for tangible business advantages in data-driven real-world scenarios;

Qualifications

What you should have:

Job Duties:

• An integral role as a recruiter in fulfilling clients' staffing needs

• Handle full spectrum of recruitment and talent acquisition matters

About the Team

The Machine Learning (ML) System team combines system engineering and the art of machine learning to develop and maintain massively distributed ML training and Inference system/services around the world.

In our team, you'll have the opportunity to build the large scale heterogeneous system integrating with GPU/RDMA/Storage and keep it running stable and reliable, enrich your expertise in coding, performance analysis and distributed system, and be involved in the decision-making process. You'll also be part of a global team with members from United States, China and Singapore working collaboratively towards unified project direction.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the design and development of Machine Learning infrastructure and platform services for model development, training and deployment;

2. Build and deploy large scale systems for machine learning integrating with GPUs, RDMA networking, and high-performance storage;

3. Design and develop resource orchestration and workload scheduling in global data centers for online and offline scenarios;

4. Manage a large number of GPU resources to ensure computing powers are efficiently allocated to the different business lines;

5. Be the expert in providing technical solutions and consultations to business users for problems such as high stability and availability of the system;

6. Be the go-to expert to drive project deliverables for system and services construction with cross-functional teams such as business team, data center team, network team, computing team, storage team;

7. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs;

8. Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis;

9. Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures;

10. Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements;

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or above, major in Computer Science, computer engineering or related;

- At least 3 years or more working experiences;

- Strong proficiency in at least one programming languages such as C++/Go/Python/Shell in Linux environment;

- Proven experience in contributing to large scale systems, multi-tenant systems including architecture, reliability and scaling;

- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture, and possess rich experience in system-level development and tuning;

- Possesses Have an excellent logical analysis ability, able to reasonably abstract and split business logic;

- Have a strong sense of responsibility, good learning ability, communication ability and self-drive, good team spirit

Preferred but not necessary

- Familiar with the ML Infrastructure of Large Model training and inference

- Familiar with front-end and back-end technologies, such as Django / Flask / NodeJS / React, etc.;

- Experience in one of the following fields: AI Infrastructure, HW/SW Co-Design, High Performance Computing, ML Hardware Architecture (GPU, Accelerators, Networking)

Job Description

• Teach and conduct coding, STEM and technology-related projects for Pre-School & Primary School students in small groups.
• Oversee the delivery of the curriculum: Ensure that teaching staff deliver the curriculum effectively and efficiently. Monitor the quality of teaching and learning and provide feedback and support as needed.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies: Work with teaching staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Take up teaching duties when needed, including covering regular classes, holidays, and special programs.
• Ensure that the teaching staff deliver lessons that are engaging and meet the expectations of students and parents.
• Design, prepare and deliver lessons to teach the basic knowledge, and techniques, support and enhance learners’ understanding of Coding, STEM and technology. Ensure the programs are engaging, interactive, challenging, and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Lead the development of curriculum programs that are aligned with international standards and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with education trends: Stay up-to-date with education trends and best practices.
• Keep abreast of new research and innovations in teaching and learning.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the planned curriculum: Assess the impact and efficacy of the planned curriculum on teaching and learning across levels regularly and make changes as needed.
• Develop close relationships with students and parents to understand their needs and ensure that the team delivers lessons that are up to expectations.
• Ensure that parents are regularly informed of their children's progress and address any issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with other departments: Work collaboratively to ensure a coordinated approach to teaching and learning across Titan Tech Academy.
• Plan manpower requirement: Plan and forecast the manpower requirements of teaching and curriculum staff to ensure that the enrichment centres have the necessary resources to deliver a quality curriculum.
• Involvement in the recruitment of teaching and curriculum staff: Participate in the recruitment process of teaching and curriculum staff, including screening, interviewing, and selection.
• Complete all duties assigned by the management team: Complete all duties assigned by the management team in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in an Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Science related field.
• Good programming background with a positive learning attitude.
• Experience with working with young children will be a plus.
• Must be proficient in using Scratch and/or Python in teaching and curriculum research.
• Must be Proficient in using Scratch Interactive Programming and/or Python Series Programming for courseware compilation.
• Preferably have at least 3-4 years of relevant teaching experience in tuition centres, enrichment centres and/or MOE schools.
• Highly motivated, and self-starter with a growth mindset.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data for informed decision-making
• Have a pleasant, positive and optimistic personality. You believe in doing things well in a personal and professional capacity.
• Work well in a small team setting or independently
• Have high self-standard and like to think of ways to improve things.
