1, Who we are:
Quayside Isle Preparatory School (“QuIPS”), established in 2013, is a preschool for children 9 months to 6 years 11 months. QuIPS is located on Sentosa Cove where students are surrounded by nature’s beauty and the outdoors. QuIPS is registered under ECDA and delivers an outstanding curriculum combining the UK core and the Singapore curriculum. Mandarin is taught simultaneously across all age groups allowing for a seamless bilingual approach that is both effective and engaging for students. QuIPS teachers create meaningful experiences through play without compromising on the depth and breath of learning.
At QuIPS we tap into the natural surroundings of Sentosa, combining field trips to help transfer the learning indoors to the outdoors, making learning real.
2, What we want for our children:
At Quayside Isle Preparatory School, we understand a child’s innate creativity and curiosity which helps build confidence, nurture compassion whiles creating a positive learning experience. QuIPS children are encouraged to experience, probe and seek answers through meaningful activity both in and outside the classroom.
3, Your key responsibilities:
· Develop and implement appropriate lesson plans based on the four strands of the curriculum (Literacy, Numeracy, IPC and Mandarin);
· Facilitate opportunities that encourage skill development, learning, individual expression and creativity;
· Develop strategies and provide learning opportunities for all students;
· Create and maintain dynamic learning stations;
· Mentor meetings with your co-teacher regularly to develop planning, assessment, and student progress across the curriculum;
· Provide supervision and guidance to co-teachers and interns where applicable;
· Develop outdoor learning experiences for students that are in-line with the curriculum;
· Identify children that need extra support to meet class goals across development areas;
· Identify children that are achieving expected outcomes and benefit from a higher level of instruction through differentiated planning and delivery, with a particular focus on the core subjects of Literacy (RWI) and Numeracy (ABACUS);
· Communicate clearly and professionally with all members of staff, children and parents; and,
· Adhere to the policies and procedures of Quayside Isle Preparatory School.
4, Performance Assessment Criteria:
The Lead Teacher is assessed on their ability to demonstrate the following key attributes within the context of the responsibilities described above.

6, Communication:
· Holds a strong command of the English Language both in speaking and writing.
· Communicates clearly, professionally and effectively with staff, children, parents and other associated professionals.
7, Policies and Organisational Capacity:
· Adheres to all policies and procedures set out within their respective professional manual, including confidentiality.
· Assists in fostering a culture of collaboration and facilitates effective team work.
· Applies emotional competence to manage self and the team at all times.
· Solves problems and makes well thought through decisions at a supervisory level within the mentoring capacity.
· Collaborates with the Director of Learning to align short- and long-term goals to the vision, mission and values of QuIPS.
