PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing and operation of instrumentation, controls, components, and systems.
- Function as project development member to install or upgrade equipment. Schedule and obtain project material and manpower.
- Organize/coordinate site calibration program in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of measuring instruments.
- Support in the planning of routine maintenance of production equipment.
- Strategize on maintenance, work instruction and methods to create effective preventive maintenance procedures.
- Analyze breakdowns, diagnose faults, and lead time critical equipment repairs. Implement preventive measures to improve machine reliability.
- Work with reliability engineers to improve equipment performance and extend equipment useful life cycle.
- Oversee and control maintenance costs.
- Train and mentor technicians in equipment operating concepts and maintenance techniques.
- Support plant EHS and Quality initiatives and targets.
- Support automation activities including line sustaining operations and troubleshooting.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review/approve calibration specifications against product/ process specifications.
- Ensure timely completion of calibration related investigations and develop effective corrective/preventive actions.
- Develop standard operating procedures for instrument calibration and implementing of maintenance programs for operational efficiencies and minimize cost.
- Evaluate root case analysis reports of major equipment and system failure and develop potential solutions.
- Review installations and assembly documentations periodically to ensure compliance with organizational procedures.
- Approve recommended repair works for major equipment and system failures.
- Establish technical guidelines for the calibrations and alignment of robot motors, sensors and encoders.
- Optimize the motion, functions and routes of robots and other equipment and system components.
- Manage vendor service contracts.
- Preparing operation and maintenance budget.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Control & Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Chemical/ IT Engineering or related discipline.
- Diploma with at least 5 years of experience are also welcomed.
- 5 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or nutritional manufacturing facility will be highly advantageous.
- Good planning and supervisory skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Programmable logic controllers (PLC) will be advantageous.
- High in computer literacy.
- Proficiency in trouble shooting and problem solving.
- Ability to lead, motivate and foster professional development within a team.
