Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Instrument and Control Engineering.
• 15 years’ experience in instrument and control system design work.
• Knowledge and experience in Field Instrument Engineering as well as Control System, e.g. DCS, ESD, F&G.
• Able to work at construction site to support construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

• Detailed Piping engineering activities for industrial plants covering required design calculations, MTOs, Piping Material Specifications, various types of layouts, procurement activity for piping items covering preparation of enquiry specification, review of quotes and preparation of TR, preparation of order specifications, review of vendor drawings, review of piping content for mechanical packages. Knowledge about 3D software packages like PDS/PDMS/Auto plant etc. is mandatory
• To study ITB, project and design basis such as scope of work, overall project schedule, basic design data, client specification, client standard drawings, existing drawings, and plot plan.
• To assist in planning and organizing piping engineering activities and manpower requirement for the project.
• To assist in developing piping engineering and design schedule, manpower requirements, manhour distribution and execution plan based on the scope of work and approved budget manhour/schedule.
• To coordinate piping design and engineering effort with other area Lead Engineers and disciplines of the project as directed by Piping Design Supervisor.

Requirements:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering Discipline with minimum 15+ years of experience in Design Engineering for PHARMA/ LIFESCIENCE/ BIOTECH Project.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years in the field of piping design involving detailed design, stress evaluation, production work, 3D model review, and construction engineering support, five (5) years of which in a supervisory capacity.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

• Extensive experience in leading onshore/offshore commissioning activities on complex FPSO/topsides process systems,
• Strong experience in start-up activities, in particular gas treatment and compression/injection systems, seawater treatment and injection, process systems such as cooling medium, heating medium, glycol system.

• Knowledge of Process Control Narrative (PCS).

Airswift is seeking to invite an experienced Electrical Engineer with power generation engineering on FPSO projects to consider a contract engagement with one of our clients.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Able to handle electrical power distribution center and would be able lead this package independently.
• Plans and directs the running of application software such as ETAP and reviews and approves the datasheets deliverables prepared by Engineers and reviewed by the Project Lead.
• Directs Engineers in the team to develop engineering specifications (drawings, data sheets, etc) specific to the assigned project, reviews them and validates with the Project Manager and client before incorporating them in the RFQs
• Independently evaluates all the bids received for marine/topside electrical/mechanical packages from various suppliers, performs a technical bid evaluation process, involves in cost estimation, ensures selected vendors meet technical/engineering and delivery requirements as stipulated in the project specifications and gives assessment to the Buyer who will follow up in the tender evaluation, price negotiation and award process.
• Reviews/checks draft drawings and documents from team members and ensures the timely provision of accurate documents and specifications to the successful vendors to enable the latter to execute their work and deliverables.
• Independently manages/develops solutions to technical/engineering and related problems by analyzing the issues/data, interpreting the analysis and evaluating various options/measures using experience, precedents and professional references.
• Reports any deviation from company standard specification and practices, concept change to Department manager and seek his approval on the solution.
• Visits suppliers, checks and tests Electrical items to ensure that they function as per specifications.
• Participates in meetings, reviews progress and addresses interface/implementation/execution issues, escalates where necessary

• Perform checks, maintenance, refurbishment & monitoring of centrifugal pump/ diaphragm metering pump/ compressors running condition periodically and maintain records.
• Carry out rectification works as per issued Job Request order, in a timely and safe manner.
• Perform necessary Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) and isolation of process prior to carrying out the works, in accordance to Permit to Work system and LOTO procedures.
• Assist and guide external contractors in carrying out their regular/ ad-hoc maintenance contracts, ensuring these external contractors adhere to the plant’s HSE safety, operations procedure & quality of works done.
• Receive and conduct QC check on incoming spare parts/ consumable delivery.
• Practice prudent inventory management, optimize cost effectiveness and plant availability.
• Perform regular/ ad-hoc cleaning of the equipment strainers.
• Carry out leak repairs of MF, RO membrane, pressure vessels and troubleshooting of out of specifications membranes.
• Carry out ABS/ PVC/ CPVC pipe leak repairs and replacement work. Technician shall possess the basics knowledge of pipe measurement & cutting, grinding, applying primer and solvent cement to fit-up and installation. Able to do PVC welding.
• Assist plant during urgent/shutdown works, even beyond normal hours.
• Any tasks or jobs assigned by Management.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Higher NITEC / NITEC in Mechanical or other engineering-related field with at least 2 years’ experience in water treatment. Candidates with similar or relevant work experience will also be considered.
