Job Description & Requirements

• Design and develop software for automated semi-conductor process equipment.
• Improve equipment performance through CIPs and other development initiatives.
• Support field work to upgrade and resolve customer issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Computer Studies or it’s equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ experience in programming on Windows (XP and above) environment.
• Good experience in C++, VC++, MFC, SQL and OOP.
• Good knowledge in developing multi-threaded control software, SEMI SECS/ GEM equipment connectivity standard and Software Development Life Cycle.
• Hardware experience in using Servo, Stepper Motion Controller, Analog Device and High Speed I/O.
• Knowledge in PLC will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

1. Define and Document Equipment process requirement and specification.
2. Perform Process characterization to optimize critical process paths in order to meet equipment specification.
3. Review, simplify and optimize Internal Buy Off specification for equipment together with Quality Assurance Department.
4. Participate in continuous process improvement activities to enhance Equipment capability.
5. Support Equipment manufacturing activities by helping to trouble-shoot and resolve process-related issues
6. Support other internal departments to handle customers’ process related issues and recommend technical solutions
7. Perform data analysis using statistical techniques and conduct process capability studies
8. Transfer process knowledge to in house Engineers and Technicians to ensure optimal equipment performance.
9. Equipment UPH projection calculation base on specific process parameter.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Degree in Production / Mechanical / Material Science Engineering
2. At least 3 years experience in an equipment manufacturing environment with a process engineering and background
3. Strong interest in the development of new manufacturing processes
4. Experience in process design and control in the area of laser marking process.
5. Knowledge in Material Science will be added advantage.
6. Knowledge in cycle time calculation.
7. Trained in SPC, DOE and other statistical tools

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and implement new optic / illumination components/system

· Resolve optical / illumination issues.

· Identify necessary and desirable improvements of vision optical system

performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor Degree in Optics Engineering / Physics/Photonics etc

· Experience with optical design software, optical alignment and optical testing

preferred.

· Experience in 2D drawing preferred

· Knowledge and experience in high magnification optics and LED illumination with

added advantage.

· Familiar with lenses, specification, design trade offs, basic optics modeling

techniques, light measurement equipment and techniques are desired

· Candidates must be able to be independent with minimal supervision

· Candidates have experience in optics field with different background can be

considered

Design and develop series of marking/inspection/ sorting/customised semiconductor equipment to meet the processing and automation needs of customers. Main duties involve

• Design standardization
• Costing and project management
• Machine and module conceptualization design
• Design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and Concurrent engineering
• Pneumatic / hydraulic circuit design
• Detail fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings
• Selection and sizing of standard components available off the shelf
• Undertake new product development or be involved in sustaining engineering/CIPs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor/ Master of Mechanical Engineering
• 3D solid Modeling, preferably Pro-E (others like Solid Edge, Auto Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, Solid Designer are also acceptable).
• Strong project management skills
• Good track record in:

1. Ultra High Precision machine design
2. High Speed Pick and Place mechanism design
3. Structural, kinematics and dynamic analysis and FEA simulation
4. Geometrical tolerance and dimensional analysis (e.g. stack up error)
5. Engineering material selection
6. Design troubleshooting
7. Application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE

(a) Technical Service Support

· Support Set-up, troubleshooting and identify problems for onsite software issues / problems encountered.

· Provide support to FSEs for onsite software related matters.

· Review machines log files, machine configuration and related machine information to identify problems areas for software related matters.

· Liaise with Engineering Software team to clarify customers’ request, issues, problems that are identified.

· Create User request, SIR (Software Issue Report) and needed information for Engineering software team to understand the requirement as to provide correct solution.

· Support bench or machine test for new release software before onsite implementation.

(b) Technical Training

· Provide technical training for FSEs / customers on Software related troubleshooting matters.

· Update and maintain all service-related documentation or reports in databases (e.g. customer feedback system) for effective recording, monitoring, and resolution for software issues.

1. Lead a team of design engineers in the design and development of semiconductor equipment (See www.mit.com.sgon product range) from module to machine conceptualization

2. Carries out CIP programs to extend product life cycle, enhance product competitiveness, improve gross margins and lower COO

3. Reliability and feasibility tests

4. Support Technical Sales in specs review, costing and product evaluation

5. Resolve all technical field issues within the Product family

6. Responsible for product performance on site.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. At least a good Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, with a working knowledge on fundamental hardware and software design applications

2. Strong technical background in semiconductor related equipment development involving ultra-high precision, high speed mechanisms

3. Possess good technical drawing skills using either ProE/SolidWorks/Solid Edge.

4. Good knowledge in semiconductor packaging and assembly processes

5. Excellent systematic problem-solving ability using DFMEA or other tools

6. Experienced as a Technical leader with good project management skills and able to leverage on group dynamics to achieve breakthrough and results
