Job Summary:
As a Junior Aviation Engineer/Planner, you will be vital in designing airport-related buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering, proficiency with BIM, AutoCAD, and AviPLAN, and can create precise technical drawings for airside infrastructure and engineering works in airports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update drawings using AutoCAD.
• Design airfield geometry and markings using AviPLAN.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure designs meet all project requirements.
• Prepare technical drawings, sketches, diagrams, and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, or equivalent experience in C&S CAD/BIM design and drawing production.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D, Revit and AviPLAN is a plus.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Review requirements, design, develop, implement and maintain software applications for data acquisition and control systems with OT (including but not limited to OPC UA, BACnet, Modbus) and IT (including but not limited to MQTT, REST).
• Collaborate closely with system engineers and system integrators to ensure seamless integration of software components with existing systems.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure software quality and reliability - benchmark and optimize performance as necessary.
• Create technical documentation, including software specifications, user manuals and test plans, while ensuring good documentation practices.
• Strong team player who is able to communicate well, and excited to lean new technologies in a fast pace environment.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in building automation and IoT.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in automation, information technology or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of working experience in building automation industry and relevant industry.
• Possesses strong knowledge on OPC UA, BACnet, Modbus.
• Possesses knowledge on SQLite, PostgreSQL, Python, Linux OS.
• Possesses knowledge on Containerization.
• Work individually or collaborate as a team.
• Require working onsite for project delivery.

The Role

• Supervise C&S works to ensure compliance with contract documents and acceptable standard of workmanship
• Ensure the building works are constructed to the required quality, accuracy and full compliance in accordance with the Building Control Act and Regulations and approved drawings and specifications
• Check & approve structural shop drawings
• Check & approve method statements submitted within specified time frame
• Manage RFI involving C&S & liaise with Design & Drafting office.
• Resolve site problems of a technical nature in a timely manner.
• Attend, facilitate & follow-up on structural audits conducted by client & Authorities
• Manage structural materials test, arrange and supervise acceptance tests on site
• Check & monitor that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner.
• Ensure proper documentation and records of all C&S works, including records of test, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material testing and safety inspections

As an ideal candidate, you will have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or its equivalent
• Knowledge of all the Codes of Practice and regulations related to building services is essential
• At least 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Resident Engineer Accreditation Certification
