Job Summary: As an Assistant Enigneering Manager in our organisation, you will play a crucial leading role in the product development process. Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design new products or product improvements, taking into account functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
2. CAD Modelling: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of product designs, ensuring precision and accuracy.
3. Prototyping: Oversee the development of prototypes and conduct testing and analysis to validate design concepts and make necessary adjustments.
4. Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials for product components, considering factors such as durability, cost, and performance.
5. Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for products, ensuring they meet industry regulations and customer requirements.
6. Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce production costs while maintaining product quality and performance.
7. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to facilitate the manufacturing process.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 to 8 years of proven experience as a Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
