As a Sr. Manager in the engineering team (Developers & Functional Testers), you will be reporting to the Engineering Sr Director who is the CT&C ART Technical Business Owner. Your focus will be to oversee the day-to-day activities of a team roughly of size 6 to start with, who will report directly to you. The team would comprise of engineers ranging from fresh college graduates to senior experienced professionals with close to 4-6 or even more years of relevant experience.

The engineers design, build and enhance solutions meant for our customers in an agile, fast-paced environment. You will be working with colleagues across the company, who will help support and challenge you every day. Designing solutions, writing code, unit testing code, developing test cases, automating test cases and frequent check-ins for continuous integration is part of the DNA of this engineering team. You will see your team’s code going to production in just a few weeks and used by strategic accounts worldwide. The Engineering Manager reports to the Project Director and shall be responsible for the effective design effort and coordination of the Sub-Contractor's discipline engineering professionals. Job Description

• Work with Customers and counterparts on new bellow assembly design as well as their applications.
• Study and analyze customer design requirement, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and tooling/equipment requirements
• Review and approve design of new products using 3D CAD modelling
• Review and approve the manufacturing processes of new product, shop floor router, Work Instructions and standard operating procedures
• To check the drawings accuracy and release for prototype development and mass production.
• Ensure on time completion of NPI activities, to co-ordinate and follow through FAI build to identify potential issues and take preventive actions accordingly.
• Review and approve Bill of Material and routing for new part numbers in ERP system.
• Perform product validation according to the product design specification and customer requirements.
• Work with vendors to fabricate and test functional prototypes of new products, component changes and design improvements.
• Liaise with customer for Engineering Change, raises ECN and co-ordinate with internal personnel to ensure smooth implementation.
• Lead and ensure CIP/Kaizen projects meet cost savings targets,reduce cycle time ,improve yield and are implemented on time
• Participate in cost reduction activities by evaluating design simplification, alternate materials and change of supplier.
• Work with Facility team for implementation of Automation project

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
• Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCad.
• Familiar with welding technology, material science, machining and stamping parts fabrication processes, with exposure in FEA

Job Responsibilities

• To support the construction team for M&E engineering works.
• Planning/scheduling and coordination of M&E works.
