Facility engineer for Data Centre facility (12 hours shift)

Manage and service large scale data centre infrastructure and facilities to ensure 24x7 operations in rotating shifts

Job Description

• Support the organisation's data centre services through active 24x7 monitoring of the infrastructure (12 hours shift)

• Act as Level 1 escalation point for all onsite operational incidents, respond & perform remote requests within SLA

• Document and update accurately all requests on the internal Web Portal ticketing system such as user requests, incidents, provisioning, etc

• Deliver ITIL compliance process conformance for incident, problem and change management

• Ensure effective implementation of safety, security and customer support policy and procedures

• Coordinate and provide support to contractors and vendors as well as inspecting completed work

• Plan and support all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with little to no disruption to company's services

• Participate and support internal and external audits for internal stakeholders and customers

• Generate accurate and regular reports when required

• Any other duties or project as assigned by the Management

Requirements

• ITE Certificate or Diploma in Computing/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in 24x7 DC or facility operations environment, or fresh graduate with relevant qualifications such as building services, mechanical engineering

• Possess general knowledge of M&E and Network Critical Infrastructure

• Broad knowledge in DC facilities related systems such as PDUs, UPS, DC Rectifier, DRUPs, CRAUs, DX cooling, fire protections, etc

• Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-pace environment

• Prepared to be on 24x7 standby recall to provide extra manpower coverage when necessary

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be part of the project implementation and maintenance support team. Your responsibilities include technical POC, low level design/workshop, project delivery, implementation, troubleshooting, testing, customer walk through, maintenance support and documentation. You are expected to work with our client’s IT department personnel to ensure projects are delivered on time on target, much to the satisfaction of both customers & company. Managing customer’s expectation is part of your job scope, which required of you to work closely with external & internal project team members. You are expected to be a fast leaner, to acquire technical implementation skill as and when needed due to business requirements. You need to have a strong analytical and problem-solving skill, so as to excel in supporting our customers. Your other responsibility will include technical pre-sales support to the sales team. You are expected to participate and contribute with a feasible SOW to ensure a timely and successful project implementation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering

· Minimum 5 years experiences implementation and administration with one or more of the following technologies:

o Citrix infrastructure

o Windows Server and its networking environment

o Microsoft Active Directory

o VMware infrastructure

o Server infrastructure

o Storage infrastructure

o VSAN/HCI

REQUIRED SKILL-SET

· System architecture including DR design experience is an advantage

· Strong knowledge in Data Centre operations, including managing Enterprise Data Centre.

· Experience on vSAN and HCI

· Able to work effectively in a team setting

· Decisive with the ability to multi-task

· Relevant technical certifications, such as Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft are preferred

· Overseas travelling may be needed and regional experience with neighbouring countries is a plus.

Participate in Engineering Reviews and Engineering Validation Activities including but not limited to HAZID, HAZOP, Studies, Operability, Front Loading Commissioning in design, SCE’s and Performance standards in Commissioning Procedures.

To independently review & develop various complex commissioning deliverables, analyze the documents and highlight the shortfalls through vigorous review process and address these shortfalls with the team.

Develop Onshore and Offshore Commissioning Procedures for Instrumentation and Control Systems. • To support in developing project deliverables as per project & client requirement

Prepare & Review of company development work methodology / procedures.

Capable of managing demanding expectations of clients which may range from addressing gaps to unexpected work scope variations while ensuring conformance to the project, regulatory and contract requirements.

Attend FAT and SAT depending on project requirements.

Independently deals with regulatory authority, class, vendors and clients with regards to comments or queries on commissioning deliverables and develops technical/engineering solutions to the issues raised.

Participates in meetings with the project team to review progress and addresses interface/implementation/execution issues where necessary based on the standard procedures, practices and lessons learnt from past projects to ensure that the project proceeds timely and smoothly.

Perform duties as per directives of reporting authority.

Leads site execution team on performing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities planned for the Instrumentation & Control systems, managing the interfaces with Construction and Pre-Operations teams, ensuring adherence to yard and company PTW systems regarding all the Instrumentation & Control System Sow

Job Responsibilities:

· Work under the direction of the appropriate Qualified Person when carry out their supervision and fully responsible to the appropriate QP.

· To liaise and conduct inspection with the Main Contractors Engineer/Supervisor.

· To assist QP on all structural works carried out according to approved drawings

· To monitor the progress and assist QP on structural inspection on all Structural works according to the approved drawings issued.

· To check and monitor the Structural and Architectural works according to the contract drawings, specifications, approved shop drawings and method of statements

· To provide wherever and whenever necessary standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance to the Project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations.

· To be overall in charge of the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s) in performing their duties on site so that they can provide satisfactory supervision and to take responsibility of their work and performance.

· To oversee in all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and submitting record of works, materials, equipment at site, attending meetings, keeping minutes of meetings and discussions, assisting in the co-ordination of Contractor’s works with consultants and any external parties.

Requirements:

· RE registration with IES is mandatory

· Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

· Have at least 4 years of experience in site supervision of works

· Min 2 years of experience in infrastructure supervision.

· Be conversant in local legislation, regulations and codes

· Possess good co-ordination skills, self-motivated, proactive and team player

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert consultancy in equipment, process, facilities, and utilities qualification, GMP Compliance, process validation, Computer System Validation (CSV), and manufacturing operations management.
• Deliver Risk Management and Quality Management services for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operations Projects.
• Conduct sFAT and review vendor turnover package documents for Ultra-Diafiltration skid, chromatography columns, and supporting components.
• Manage change controls for continuous improvement projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
• Author and execute test scripts for engineering changes.

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical downstream manufacturing experience who have done some CQ.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including FDA and EMA guidelines.
