Job Scope

• Prepare and develop detailed viaduct supervision schedule and comprehensive checklist for conduct of inspection and supervision by QP(S) and QSS team
• Prepare and develop detailed safety inspection schedule and checklist for viaduct construction activities
• To supervise every stage of the viaduct construction including inspection and checks for signs of distress to the viaduct structure, etc. To achieve full completion of the viaduct, in a safe manner
• Review and check construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements and construction sequence for all aspects of temporary and permanent works of viaduct construction including design, assembly and operation of launching equipment, post-tensioning works and modification proposals
• Review the viaduct construction engineering and temporary works design and provide independent calculations on the assessment
• Review and check all contingency measures and their application and decision structure, including all rectification proposals
• Monitor and interpret visual/physical conditions of viaduct work, and assess potential risks and deviations from design intent and method statements

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in civil/structural discipline recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• Conversant with Euro Codes, Singapore Standards, British Standards, etc.
• Min. 8 years of experience in civil engineering projects
• Min. 5 years of experience in the design and supervision of viaduct works, preferably in precast segment construction
• Site Office Location: in Singapore (Ang Mo Kio/Sg Seletar)
• Working Hours: 830 am to 530 pm, Monday to Friday and 830 am to 1230pm, Saturday

As a Field Engineer (C&S), you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day civil maintenance work through supervision of contractors in site execution to meet quality, HSE, and engineering requirements for assigned projects, turn around and pit stop activities or maintenance work.

In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe execution, quality, cost effective and timely execution of the work; to integrate all Civil and Structural Organization activities (Scaffolding + Insulation + Coating, Abseiling, Temporary Repairs, Civil Maintenance, Refractory repair, Road repair, authority engagements for submissions) into the day-to-day activities of the Production Units (PU).

What’s the role?

As a Field Engineer (C&S), you will be responsible for monitoring construction / maintenance activities. The incumbent should take steps to ensure that construction progresses as scheduled and that work specification are followed. Daily, the incumbent must inspect the construction site and coordinate delivery schedules with contractors.

You are also expected to perform the following:

• Maintenance of all Civil and Structural plant assets, including drainage systems and oil traps, insulation & cladding, coating, furnace refractory, etc. to ensure high plant availability and equipment integrity.
• Undertake all Civil and Structure maintenance activities related to Corrective and Preventive Actions and Management of Change (MOC) activities related to the Production Unit
• Assure that supervisors and inspectors adhere to the approved Inspection and Test Plans and project quality plans when conducting witness, inspection, and surveillance checks. Ensure Quality Control tests and checks are properly recorded and conform to project specifications, AFC drawings, and method statements.
• Ensure accuracy of approved construction drawings, documents and procedures for proper and correct construction execution.
• Provides good documentation to ensure all Civil and Structure drawings can be updated to reflect the latest changes.
• Ensure compliance to HSE standards and requirements to ensure that the Bukom Petrochemical Complex is a safe place to work in.
• Confirm day-to-day civil maintenance work and co-ordinate work details with contractors where appropriate.
• When required, to attend daily planning sessions with operations and confirm the schedule and procedures for safe and efficient execution of the job.
• Work with TA / SD (Plant Turn around / Shut down) leads & Planners to effectively integrate work scope into overall execution strategies in a TA / SD event.
• Execute the civil maintenance works using contractors.
• Assist Maintenance Manager in managing shutdowns and project works.
• Carry out any other related duties as required.
• Perform the role of an Authorized Permit Applicant and/or Authorized Engineer as per site Permit to Work (e-PTW) requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the project manager with on and off site meeting pertaining to the technical issues
• Responsible for submission of Architectural samples, shops drawing and other related documents to the consultants or authorities
• Coordinate and monitor work progress at site including periodical site inspection and attending meetings during course of construction of project
• Proven problem solving and achievements work progress according to the work schedule
• Site supervision and able to coordinate well with sub-contractors, RE and RTO

Requirements:

• Candidate must at least a Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Min 5 years relevant experience in the related field for this position
• Be able to work independently with minimum guidance
• Good team player and willing to learn and contribute

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or in a similar role within a GCC or multinational environment.

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI,) and configuration management tools – Terraform

CI/CD Pipeline Design and Optimization:

•⁠ ⁠Collaborate with development and operations teams to design efficient CI/CD pipelines that streamline the build, test, and deployment processes.

•⁠ ⁠Implement GitLab CI/CD best practices and optimize pipelines to reduce build times and improve deployment efficiency.

•⁠ ⁠• Develop and manage infrastructure as code scripts to automate GitLab infrastructure provisioning and configuration.

•⁠ ⁠• Leverage GitLab APIs and CI/CD scripts to automate repetitive tasks, reduce manual intervention, and enhance team productivity

Able to design and create release management- managing multi release deployments and env management.

• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
