Job Description

The Position: Systems Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer

The successful candidate will join a team of Systems Engineer primarily responsible for maintaining on-premises and cloud applications, servers, storage, and network equipment. The position reports to the IT Delivery Manager/Lead and will be expected to plan, install, configure, and manage all aspects of IT Systems infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and cost-effective delivery of services.

Staff level, for the successful candidate will be determined based on their experience level and the technologies they are skilled in.

[Primarily Duties]

· Improve and maintain the Microsoft System, VMware, backup, clustering solution setup and architecture

· Design, configure, deploy, and maintain applications, servers, and storage solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud.

· Proactively work to improve reliability, stability, and security of the cloud and on-premises environments.

· Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning and capacity planning.

· Create and update documentation.

· Work with developers to deploy and maintain applications, including hardening and vulnerability remediation.

· Research and evaluate new hardware and software solutions.

[Secondary Duties- common]

On top of the primary responsibility, he/she will be required to perform the following duties on a rotational basis

1. Daily operation task, e.g. backup, system maintenance, system performance monitoring, end user PC support.

2. After office hours standby duty to attend to system alerts and to provide 2nd level support to our helpdesk and software developer when they encounter problems

Requirements

· Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.

· Preferably to have sound working experience in implementing, managing and perform disaster recovery for the following: -

a) Microsoft System architecture, i.e.AD/DNS/DHCP/Group Policy/Clustering, etc

b) Experience in either MS SQL OR MS Exchanges architecture.

c) VMware infrastructure architecture, i.e. Clustering with multi node setup

d) Microsoft Azure architecture and security solution

e) Hybrid Microsoft and Linux environment

a) IPv4/v6 Networking

b) Azure Certification in Azure Infrastructure/Architecture or equivalent will be desirable but not essential

Additional experience/certification in the following is not mandatory but will be strongly advantageous:

a) Enterprise Storage

b) AWS experience

c) Worked in a system integrator environment before.

· Candidates must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, have good aptitude in learning new skills, be a team player, and can work in a fast pace environment with minimum supervision.

• The candidate is responsible for supporting validation activities including develop, support and implementation. In this role, the engineer has to ensure qualification activities are performed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support equipment, facilities, utilities qualifications
• Develop validation lifecycle document and protocols/reports in accordance with relevant policies, standards, procedures and guidelines, and complete execution in a timely fashion
• Manage qualification execution and lead qualification deviation investigations encountered during qualification
• Collaborate with multi functions to arrange, plan and ensure smooth running of the qualification activities
• Participate in site Validation Maintenance Program
• Support Change Implementation on site
• Any other tasks as and when assigned by supervisor / Manager
• Support other technical changes and duties as required

About You

• Engineering/Science Degree or higher from recognised institution
• At least 2 years of experience in Equipment Qualification in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Experience in Critical Utilities, process equipment and facilities qualification is preferred.
• Good knowledge and experience of the practical and theoretical requirement of validation program in GMP facility
• Good Knowledge of Upstream, Downstream and Support Services equipment within the Pharma Biotech Industry.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Meticulous and Systematic
• Team player, with strong focus on safety, quality and timeline
• GMP/cGMP knowledge a plus
• Self-motivated and capable of working in diverse team situations with company clients and maintaining a positive attitude towards project challenges.

Basic Up to $5000 + Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Oversee production scheduling
• Evaluate and establish process parameters
• Identify and eliminate sources of failure and to perfect functionality of products
• Define process problems that lead to throughput or quality issues, evaluate cause of problem, implement solutions to stabilize processes, increase production output, reduce production cycle and enhance cost improvement
• Investigate and implement solutions on process or material related problems
• Develop and maintain proper job methods, work instructions, drawings, bill of material etc. for products
• Execute productivity programmes such as process automation, tooling and fixture fabrication or improvement etc.
• Conduct training on equipment operation and maintenance
• Ensure manufacturing objectives are met and initiate continuous improvement activities on product quality, yields and technologies

Qualifications and Experience:

• Possess at least a Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with chemical handling
• Experience in electroplating sector and exposure to Silver Spot plating will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 practices is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications and able to interpret AutoCAD engineering drawing
• Systematic, self-initiative and able to work independently
• Ability to evaluate, diagnose and trouble-shoot problems
