About The Role

The Crux Lead Mechanical/Production Technician is a dual trade role for:

- A Mechanical Technician who has Production Technician qualifications or who would like to pursue development as a dual trade Production Technician. OR

- A Production Technician with a MECHANICAL Trade qualification

This is a critical position within the operations team which will be focused on delivery during the project Execute phase, culminating in a successful Start-up and CRUX Project to Asset handover through to the Not Normally Manned (NNM) operations. This position is a key role that moves through the Project phase into the future organization operations structure to maintain Crux. A major part of the role will also be to train and mentor future staff to facilitate interventions on Crux from Prelude. The role will also support the PMCT Crux control room operator where required.

FABRICATION/ ONSHORE COMMISSIONING PHASE

- Gain essential physical asset knowledge and familiarisation.

- Validate SAP PM Task Lists.

- As part of the Integrated CSU team contribute to owner’s team verification of contractor scope delivery.

- Attend vendor specific training for packages & equipment.

- Support and contribute to system & equipment joint walkdowns ensuring identification and inclusion of punch information.

- Support RFT (Right First Time) activities including Tightness (leak testing/ flange management)/ Cleanliness (Preservation).

- Lead onboarding & familiarisation for discipline teams including vendor and equipment training.

- Ensure Permit Vision’s ready for deployment.

- Review and validate operations procedures.

- Review and validate start up procedures.

- Lead discipline teams to ensure onboarding/ familiarisation as per plans developed

OFFHSORE COMMISSIONING, START UP AND LIGHTHOUSE MANNING PHASE

During this phase of the project the Lead Mechanical/Production Technician will continue as part of the integrated CSU team

- Role model for safety and behavioral leadership.

- Ensure safe work practices are being adhered too.

- Working together Vendors and Specialists for facilities commissioning.

- Leading role in execution of Asset lead Start-up Activities

- Support Crux through initial Start-up and troubleshooting

- Onboard identified personnel who will form the future First Intervention Team (Prelude team).

- Assist in managing early operations peak workload and activities to enable steady state operation and transition to NNM Operations.

- Operationalise key processes (Permit Vision, ESP - Ensure Safe Production, Surveillance LoD & Audits)

- Perform Preventative Maintenance activities.

Job Requirements:

- Sound technical understanding and experience in various mechanical systems, with a preference to have a minimum of twelve years working the role.

- Sound understanding of work preparation and scheduling requirements.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in mentoring, training, leading, and working within teams and engagement with other disciplines.

- Proficient in coordinating maintenance activities on oil & gas facilities through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

- Understanding of business processes for maintenance

- Maintain flexibility with an ability to perform autonomously in a dynamic work environment

- Experience with analysers with respect to servicing, calibrating, repairing, and troubleshooting.

Skills and Competencies:

- Mechanical Certification.

Jason Marine Group Limited is a Maritime-centric Equipment and Service Provider based in Singapore, providing marine electronics and communications equipment/services and integration services for the commercial marine and offshore industries in Singapore, Asia and Europe regions.

We are seeking a Commissioning Technician to manage the design and installation of the marine electronics and communications equipment/services onboard shipping vessels, not limited to locally, offshore and overseas. He/ She will report directly to Commissioning Manager and the Energy Team in carrying out the following work and responsibilities:

• Support with implementation/ assembly/ design/ testing with system or/ and project Engineers.

• Carry out installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, but not limited to Navigation, IT, Scada, Communication system and equipment in workshop assembly and onsite.

• Assist and/ or carry out Factory Acceptance Test & Site Acceptance Test with client.

• Contribute necessary improvements and offer advice about operational procedures.

• Work with the team to investigate problems and diagnose and repair faults, if any, in order for the equipment to work to its specifications

• Help out in the timely and accurate reports, documentation, timesheets, service reports as per company/ client format for submission and reporting.

• Work with the Service Department to resolve enquiries, if required.

• Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Other Requirements

• Able to work under tight schedule and minimum supervision.

• Able to travel in short notice.

• Good verbal communication skill.

• Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends and public holidays.

• Ensure a safe working environment.

• Experience in Telecommunication system in marine, shipyard, offshore is preferred. Job Title and Grade will commensurate with experience.
