Hydraulic Modeler – Water Distribution Networks

The Hydraulic Modeler for Water Distribution Networks is a key element in the Singapore team dedicated to advancing the state of the art of digital twin systems and delivering cutting edge digital transformation to Water Utilities in Asia. Reporting to the Project Manager for a drinking water network digital twin project in Singapore, the Hydraulic Modeler is in charge of the hydraulic models that will be used in real-time in the system. The Hydraulic Modeler is autonomous but will be supported actively by senior modeling experts from Consulting, providing methodological guidance as well as helping in solving particular issues that may arise.

Responsibilities & Duties

• In coordination with the data scientist in the team, prepare and validate all data to be used for model building and calibration (asset information, sensor data…).
• Build and/or update hydraulic models to ensure a good fit with the structure of the network. Calibrate the model to a level meeting the demands of the client.
• Participate in the definition and validation with the client of the model calibration KPIs, and of the automated model health monitoring module part of the digital twin system.
• Write model building and calibration reports, including for periodic recalibration. Produce drawings as needed.
• Be the point of contact with the client on all topics related to the hydraulic model and its updates, establishing professional relationships and ensuring delivery of the results.
• Assist the Project Manager in monitoring progress, evaluation results and identification and resolution of constraints.
• Participate in the production of all deliverables (study intermediate and final reports, progress reports, ensure their submission in due time).

Change Management

• To work within the change management framework adopted by the client to ensure that all changes to the production environment are planned and executed in a controlled manner.
• To take responsibility for the quality of changes within the SSO and IDM environments, ensuring that changes raised are of sufficient standard in terms of technical and planning detail.
• Attending and sharing knowledge / updates in the Weekly Change Control Board Meetings and the Weekly Problem Management Meetings.

Job scope:

• Develop and execute the strategic plan for product line along with Business Development Manager, including, but not limited to capturing product needs, developing forecast for product lines in alignment with commercial organization for annual budgeting and operating plan, supporting commercial organization in achieving revenue.
