• Ensure System Disaster recovery readiness and successful execution of DR testing.
• Manage the High Availability iSeries System environment.
• Pro-active monitoring and maintenance of multiple iSeries servers and applications.
• Manage the Risk and Security & Vulnerability remediation for iSeries in compliance to the security best practices.
• Manage third party software, ensure they are updated according to the support lifecycle.
• Responsible for Firmware and OS upgrades, Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning, PTF installation.
• Work with multiple vendors on the implementation of iSeries support, lifecycle upgrade and project.

CERTIFICATION

• Formal IBM iSeries training and/or IBM certification preferred
• Formal training and certification in System Management, e.g. ITIL foundation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10+ years hands-on experience in an iSeries environment
• Experience in managing iSeries AS400 operations.
• Experience in ITIL and processes in Service Request, Incident, problem and change management.

• Remote Journaling / High Availability concept.
• Backup and Recovery on Flashcopy, BRMS, Safe Guarded Copy, NIM for VIOS backup.

• IBM PowerHA, ASP & iASP Disk configuration and administration.
• IBM EIM implementation for Single Sign on.
• 1 or more system replication software – e.g. iTera, Assured Mimix.
• Network configuration for TCP/IP protocol, Route and Host Tables, Firewall Rules.
• IBM SAN storage and SAN Switches, FC multipath configuration.
• System performance tuning, performance, and alert monitoring.
• Firmware, Patch, PTF, CUM Package ordering/installation.
• Query/400 – SQL/400, DB2 and performance tuning.
• Third party software, e.g. iTera, Assured Mimix, Optimizer, Fortra Powertech Exit Point, Authority broker, compliant monitor, Antivirus, System monitoring tool.
• Working knowledge on ACSC and Infinium advantages.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the MySQL database, ensure safe, stable and efficient operation;
• Responsible for the daily maintenance, including the establishment and deployment of MySQL database, maintenance, and management, data migration, refactoring, etc.;
• Responsible for MySQL database performance monitoring and optimization, fault handling and disaster recovery;
• Responsible for slow query optimization of MySQL database, formulating specifications, and training on research and development;

Requirements

• Full-time bachelor degree or above, computer-related major, more than 3 years of professional DBA experience;
• Master the operating mechanism and architecture of MySQL database, and have excellent MySQL database architecture design capabilities;
• Master MySQL database performance tuning, monitoring, backup, exception handling, and failure recovery;
• Master the principles of MySQL replication and high availability, and be familiar with the commonly used high availability architectures MHA, PXC, KEEPALIVED, etc.;

• Identify requirements and features for semiconductor equipment and create concepts and architecture of new equipment.
• Design mechanical systems which involve the selection and use of motors, actuators, gear drives, pumps, and valves.
