As a Software Engineer for Private Equity & Real Estate Technology, you will be part of a dynamic team of full-stack engineers in designing, building, deploying, testing, and supporting applications and related services hosted on AWS. Collaborating with business stakeholders, you will drive business value while ensuring the delivery of high-quality code. You’ll tackle a variety of problems from scaling out infrastructure to promoting business efficiency through automating business processes. You will be the lead in our company’s HR matters like recruitment efforts, compliance, governance, renewal and update of HR policies, elimination of employment doubts and management of employee leave, off, tax matters as well as matters pertaining to employment of foreigners under Singapore’s payroll. Scope and Responsible:

HR Functions

· Responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions including but not limited to recruitment, termination, payroll, leave management, work pass matters, upkeep of employee records, training courses, company events, staff communication and staff welfare.

Requirements:

The Role

The Software Engineering team is a central part of Javelin that delivers and maintains the trading and risk management software systems. The role is like a Front Office Developer role at an investment bank or hedge fund. The team’s mandate also extends to the various logistical, financing and operational activities relating to our businesses.

The role will be based in Singapore, and you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues from across the globe and be involved in the development of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Back-end development of internal software applications in Python 3.
• Work closely with Quantitative Strategies, Trading, and other teams from across the globe to develop systems for new commodities products and deal structures.
• Provide in person support for the Singapore Trading, Sales and Logistics teams.
• Monitor the cloud-based market data and risk infrastructure during Singapore hours and improve upon it.

Specific experience we are looking for:

• 3+ years of commercial back end or full-stack development in any language.
• Software development experience in a commodity trading firm, oil and gas major, shipping and logistics firm, investment bank, investment management firm, fintech, or other relevant firm involving trading and/or supply chain management.
• Knowledge of physical commodity products and their trade lifecycle, not limited to coal, base metals, oil, gas and emissions, will be helpful.
• Software development experience in Python will be helpful
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with flexibility to work as both a team and autonomously.
