JOB PURPOSE
To manage all project engineers/site supervisor or to assist the project director to direct the team to engage in monitoring and controlling the design and construction scheduling, quality control and assurance, cost and document control of the maintenance / M&E projects.
JOB SUMMARY
Supervises the project engineer in maintaining the Project Team manpower, materials and vehicles resources to ensure the project are successfully completed within the project deadline with good quality, safety standards as well as within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project-based Duties:
Manages a total of 5 direct staff in Project Team – Project Engineer , Quantity Surveyor, Site Engineer and Supervisor. Indirect reports – 15 workers. Responsible for: · Progress and completion of project.
DUTIES
Project Management
1. Supervise the project engineer/site supervisors to manage manpower resources and their training such as assigning work to project personnel and evaluating their work performance to ensure the project manpower resources are effectively controlled
2. Resolve all manpower issues such as approval of Workers Home Leave Application when necessary
3. Manage the Project Team materials resources and vehicle resources to ensure all project resources areeffectively controlled and utilized
4. Resolve all technical, engineering design and test problems when necessary
5. Ensure the Project Team complied to all safety rules and regulations as stipulated by our Company and the Clients
6. Establish work schedules and actively communicate with main-contractor, consultant, professional engineer, resident engineer and sub-contractors on project work and schedules to ensure effective and efficient completion of the project within the deadline
7. Schedule and/or approve the preparation and resource forecasting for specific engineering activities relating to the project i.e. develop plans to meet unexpected situations
8. Establish and manage project budget and costing of the project to ensure the project costing is justified and well-administered.
9. Ensure that claims are done and submitted correctly and on time.
10.Ensure that all work carried on site, including variation works are accurately communicated to the Contracts Department and duly reflected in the claims.
11. Perform site inspection to monitor the project team and work progress periodically to ensure effective and efficient completion of the project within the deadline
12. Conduct weekly internal project team meeting to ensure project operations move smoothly
13. Conduct monthly site SHE meeting to ensure safety issues are highlighted and resolved
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications
• Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering, or other Engineering field
• Oil/Petrochemical Industry Safety Course for Supervisors
• Construction Safety Course for Project Managers - For contract value more than $10 million
Experiences
• 5 years of relevant site experience with management experience working in Jurong Island
• Require own transport in Jurong Island

• Acquinted with the everyday use British Standard (BS), Code of Practice (CP) and Singapore Standard (SS) codes
