Job Description

Key responsibilities

• Timely Processing of Payroll Data
• Report employment income tax for foreign employees to IRAS
• Prepare and send salary statements after payroll run for overseas posted staff before pay day
• Processing of NS Make-Up Claims
• Ensure that Government Paid Leave Claims are filed timely and accurately
• Perform payroll accuracy checks
• Backup for reconciliation & reporting on payroll suspense accounts
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing for projects, system enhancements and bug fixes
• Any other adhoc duties

Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Overseas Accounting Department in SIA Finance Division.

Key Responsibilities
1) Internal control
- Review and complete monthly accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, cash audit checklist, highlight and follow through any abnormalities with accountant and stations.
- Monitor and liaise with stations to ensure they have followed the procedures and policies stipulated in the Finance Manual in their accounting processes.
- Assists to support queries from stations on arising basis.

2) Month-end closing
- Assist with review of station month-end financial closing activities.

3) Accounts Receivables
- Follow up with stations on defaulted debts/aged debts to provide provisions for doubtful debt.

4) General Ledger
- Monitor and ensure prompt clearance of suspense account. As and when required, to assist station in posting the accounting entries for account clearance.

5) Budget and Forecasting
- Business partner with station Business Units (“BUs”) on variance analysis of station’s operational expense incurred and query station for explanations.
- Review stations’ submissions of their quarterly Budgetary Control Statement (“BCS”) reports.
- Assist in station’s operating budget exercise on an annual basis.

6) Operational Accounting
- Assist station’s request for billing to subsidiaries or third parties upon request.
- Handle station’s request of new SAP access in conjunction with the Segregation of Duty (“SOD”) matrix updated to flag out discrepancies.
- Keep track of Business Process Outsourcing vendor’s Key Performance Indicator (“KPI”) to ensure they are within the targets set.

7) Others
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (“UAT”) for system enhancements.
- Other assignments and projects as assigned from time to time.

The successful candidate will be part of Finance Division, Payrolls Department. He/She will be responsible for Payrolls’ operational matters such as ensuring the completeness, timeliness and accuracy in the processing of payroll, reporting of Central Provident Fund (CPF) to the CPF Board and submission of claims to the various government agencies. He/She will ensure prompt and accurate reporting of personal tax to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).He/She will also provide support relating to business processes and system changes to ensure compliance with regulatory, accounting and company’s policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitors and ensures that the Payroll and CPF reporting are complete, accurate and processed on a timely basis.
• Ensures accurate and timely reporting of employees’ personal tax (IR8A or IR21) to IRAS
• Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accruals/JVs. Check for omissions/errors in JVs.
• Approval of AR and AP invoices.
• Monitors and ensures the accuracy and timely reporting of claims to the various government authorities.
• Oversees mass upload of functional allowances.
• Handles payroll related queries from internal users, internal and external auditors, as well as government agencies.
• Works closely with Business Technology Finance on business requirements, user stories and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
• Supervision of staff.
• Any other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification recognised by ISCA or ACCA qualifications. Knowledge of SAP FICO or SAP HR/Payrolls systems will be an advantage.

Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Business Technology Department in SIA Finance Division. You will be required to work with Finance business users, IT Division and IT vendors to plan and implement Finance digital initiatives and to provide effective operational support for implemented Finance systems.

Key Responsibilities

1) Drive business value through system capabilities and enhancements by working with IT Division and Finance business users

2) Collaborate with functional units to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, and user requirements for enhancements

3) Facilitate business process review and formulate use case with business users.

4) Manage the end-to-end delivery for new projects and application enhancements, where key activities include

- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for smooth and timely delivery of projects and achieve set business KPIs

- Leading requirements gathering and technical solutioning with users and technical teams

- Reviewing feasibility and sustainability of proposed solutions

- Executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including pro-active follow ups on bug fixesto ensure that all test scenarios are comprehensively tested and all business requirements are met

- Identifying and mitigating project and business risks by collaborating with all impacted stakeholders.

- Strategising and leading change management through regular communications and coordination

- Managing change requests and conducting post-implementation review

5) Provide effective operational support for Finance systems. Activities include:

- Assisting users on system usage, authorization and administration

- Managing resolution of reported incidents (e.g. bugs) based on Service Level Agreement terms

- Ensuring regularly periodic jobs are completed in accordance with agreed timeline

- Partnering with businee units (BUs) to identify areas of improvements in the work processes and system flow/functions

- Assisting with the audit of IT applications

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business IT, or IT-related discipline
• 2 years of working experience in Finance or similar role preferred
• Fresh graduates with strong learning capabilities and right attitude will be considered
• Experience in Agile methodology is a plus
• Experience in SAP FICO, Sharepoint and Tableau will be an advantage
