Job Description:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing a team to ensure that assigned portfolios are completed and deliverables are met on time. This additional role is also expected to guide and mentor junior and senior accountants, to develop their skills and ensure that quality service and advice are provided to our clients.
The Assistant Manager will be collaborating closely with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Job responsibilities:
Client Relationship
- Manage clients’ relationship and communication with clients’ key personnel
- Responsible for client queries and other ad hoc requests from client
- Preparation of fee quotes and service agreements
- Other client relation assignments
Managerial Duties
- Guiding and mentoring junior and senior accountants
- Managing team to meet client deadlines
- Analysing sales variance and monitoring KPIs
- Other managerial tasks assignments
Accounting Services
- Consolidation of subsidiaries / application of equity method for associate companies
- Reviewing/ Maintaining full set of Accounts
- Reviewing/ Preparation of custom reporting packages based on client requirements
- Reviewing/ Preparation of statutory reports (Financial Statements and Notes to the accounts) in accordance with SFRS/IFRS
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure financial compliance and smooth operations
- Completion/review of XBRL for corporate secretarial team to file
- Cash management and payment review/ processing
- GST preparation/review and filing
- Other ad hoc assignments
Payroll Services
- Review / Preparation of clients’ payroll (including calculation of OT, allowances etc.)
- Payroll / CPF disbursement
- Review /Preparation of year-end IR8A forms
- Other payroll related assignments
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Candidates with professional qualification such as ACCA/CA/CPA etc would be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and at least 2 years of supervisory role experience
- Experience in Professional Services industry would be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge and understanding of requirements on accounting, GST and payroll
