In this role, you will support the financial consolidation, reporting, and business partnerships within the International music business for Asia.
You will provide insightful financial analysis, streamline reporting processes, and ensure accuracy in regional financial statements, all of which will enable strategic decision-making across the business.
What you'll do:
- Month-end actual / forecast consolidation for Asia affiliates.
- Responsible for financial reporting and planning, including month-end close, quarterly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Assist in finance modelling review and preparation (artist/label signing, acquisition, licensing, office lease etc.)
- Assist the VP of Finance in preparing business reviews, presentations, and coordinating with GMs and Finance Directors.
- Business Partner to VP of Southeast Asia International business and marketing team to analyze the financial impact of strategic initiatives and provide analytical insights on variances and trends for Revenue, Marketing spend, Artists profitability, and EBIT.
- Liaise with Asia local finance teams regarding the inquiries or reporting requests from Regional office, Sony/SME Group or external parties.
- SAP data master maintenance for Asia.
Who you are:
- Bachelor degree in commerce/finance/business/economics majoring in accounting from a recognized Institution.
- CA/CPA qualified or studying towards.
- Minimum 5 years work experience.
- SAP and Business Warehouse experience is a must.
- Advanced computer software skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial software and tools for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Experience in multinational companies with strict month-end reporting deadlines.
- A team player with a strong business partnering mindset.
- Ability to work independently, but also fully communicate with the supervisor, and other internal/external stakeholders.
