Finance Officer (Deposit and Withdrawal)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the clients’ deposits and withdrawals on the platform
• Responsible for daily deposit accounting statistics and organising relevant reports
• Assisting the Finance Department on the bank reconciliation of clients’ deposit and withdraw
• Continuously driving process improvement
• Up keeping of strong internal control system and corporate governance
• Assist in the creation of new processes and system implementation when required
• Any other duties or projects assigned by the Management

Requirements

• Degree in accounting/finance/banking
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, prior experience working in bank
• Strong interest in finance industry developments
• Experience in financial services or fintech will be a plus
• English written and verbal communication skills, reading and conversational skills will be an advantage. Fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel

Due to business growth plans, we are seeking a high calibre and experienced Trade Finance professional to join the Singapore Treasury team reporting directly to the Regional Treasurer, Asia Pacific & Middle East.

• Handle the full spectrum of documentary trade transactions covering both international and domestic Chinese trades
• Perform and process all day-to-day trade operations transactions covering both import and export LC transactions, and/or other relevant trade instruments including Bank Acceptance draft, CAD, D/P terms
• Ensure compliance of trade finance documentation and activities
• Maintain good relationships with banks and counterparties
• Prepare shipment schedules, keep proper documentation of trade finance records and ensure all transaction documents are in order
• Prepare invoices, shipping documents and other relevant documents required in accordance with export LC terms & conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by Manager

Primary Objective:

• Supervise and guide Clerical Staff in the daily operations end to end
• Ensuring efficient and error free processing of trade transactions in line with international standards
• Ensuring compliance with the Bank’s credit policy, to equip with in-depth knowledge of the trade product and services to meet customers’ needs
• Monitor and review the outstanding bills ensuring no back log and long outstanding bill items
• Ensure checks and searches relating to AML and CFT obtained prior to processing of new trade bills received

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning

• Ensure smooth daily operational flow and error free processing of trade transactions in line with international standards
• Follow-up on outstanding trade transactions
• Provide guidance to officers and staff under his/her supervision
• Adherence and compliance with the Bank’s credit policy and guideline

Business Performance

• Contribute to the trade business utilization to achieve trade fee, fund and asset growth
• Motivate and guide the team with relevant skills and product knowledge to improve operational skills in trade to enable them to excel in their job.

Operations and Process Flow

• Regular monitoring of outstanding and overdue bills in accordance with the guideline and policy
• Supervise staff under his/her purview to provide efficient, error free processing meeting and compliant to internal and external regulations, policies and procedures
• Ensure checks conducted prior to processing of transactions

• Communicate with customers to solve collection issues and gain payment commitments, while building rapport and a positive relationship with global strategic account
• Check stopped orders report on a daily basis for the assigned region and/or product line. Review the overdue status and risk development of the customer before releasing the order
• Conduct customer review of the new and existing customers and recommend credit lines according to the global credit policy
• Work with cash applications team and customer service team to research and resolve short payments/non-payment disputes
• Attend periodic collection meeting and coordinate closely with regional finance and commercial team to address any escalated collection matter
• Inform manager of potential problems in the credit review process or collection process and make recommendations for process improvement
• Perform AR reporting on overdue balances and top accounts as per request from business units
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Minimally 1 year related commercial collections experience
• Proficient in V-lookup
• Demonstrate clear understanding of basic accounting principles, general ledger, credit practices and collection procedures

• Show good initiative, responsible and a positive can-do attitude
