Job Description – Finance Manager

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will

· Responsible for the finance function and financial books of the subsidiaries assigned

· Provide effective management, supervision and approvals, ensuring financial and tax accounting, financial services, closing and reporting activities are performed in an accurate, timely, and compliant manner.

· Prepare and present periodic financial statements, budgets and financial reports to the management team and key stakeholders

· Review of the related companies accounts, reporting, intercompany transactions and payments

· Manage working capital, funding and treasury matters to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs

· Conduct regular financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations and strengthen internal controls.

· Responsible for the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.

· Oversee the annual external audit cycle of the Group and ensure that all statutory requirements are timely met

· Be the liaison with auditors, tax agents, bankers and corporate secretarial agent

· Manage the payroll and incentive functions of the company, including computing or checking of internal and contract staff payroll and incentives, all CPF and IR8A related matters and submissions;

· Ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy with Professional Accreditation (CA/CPA)
• Min 8 years of experience, with a good mix of commercial accounting, audit experience from CPA firms and at least 2 years in a manager role
• Good technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, transfer pricing and statutory requirements
• Experienced and with a track record of successful process transformation implementation.
• Experienced in ERP YonYou advantageous
• Independent, adaptable and able to work in a dynamic environment
• Mandarin proficiency is necessary for effective communication with counterparts in regions such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc.

Job Description:

1. Lead the Finance Team

2. Prepare financial management reports, Management Accounts every month for review for both Singapore and Malaysia companies

3. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and external parties to ensure relevant statutory compliance

4. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Companies Act, tax regulations and other regulatory requirements

5. Experienced and good in handling withholding tax and GST.

6. Assist in stock reconciliation, consignment billing

7. Manage and process office payroll as well as to ensure that monthly payroll processes run smoothly.

8. Follow up with new application and renewal of insurance policies.

9. Assist and review transfer pricing report

10. Perform cash collection and petty cash disbursement

11. Handle HR administration tasks (i.e application of work permit, survey, recruitment)

12. Assist in any adhoc function and related duties as and when assigned by management

Requirements:

1. Minimum degree in Accounting or Finance with 4 years of relevant experience, at last 2 years in supervisory role.

2. Audit experience would be an advantage

3. Excellent communication and analytical skills with good command in English, Bahasa Malay and Mandarin

4. Possess good leadership and interpersonal qualities, highly motivated with a strong sense of integrity

5. Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications

6. Experience with SAP Business One and ERPnext will be preferred

Senior Assistant Manager, Finance

Our client is looking for Senior Assistant Manager, Finance to handle reporting responsibilities for the Company and its associated companies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire accounting process for two subsidiaries of the organisation , including month-end closing, monthly reconciliation preparation, year-end statutory audits, and tax filings.
• Aid in grant claims and audits.
• Compile quarterly statistics surveys and other related surveys.
• Create management reports.
• Support in preparing schedules for statutory audits.
• Provide administrative support for the Audit Committee.
• Participate in process and system improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Hold a degree in Accounting or its equivalent.
• Preferably possess 3-4 years of relevant experience in financial reporting; entry-level candidates may also be considered.
• Proficient in GL and Financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is an added advantage.
• With preference of experience in Education industry

Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager
