About the role:
IIX is seeking for a data analyst to join our team and support our data-driven decision-making process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and the ability to analyze complex data sets to identify patterns and trends that can be used to inform business decisions. As a Junior Data Scientist, you will work closely with our team of experienced data scientists to support the development of predictive models, conduct exploratory data analysis, and help automate data-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
· Support the development of predictive models using statistical techniques
· Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends in data sets
· Develop and implement data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
· Assist with the automation of data-related tasks
· Collaborate with senior managers and deliver output as per expectations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to leverage data to drive business decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Upto 1 year of work experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Proficiency in Python or R is an advantage but not mandatory
- Familiarity with statistical and machine learning techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with large data sets in internships
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Knowledge of data cleaning and preprocessing techniques
