Job Summary
· Accountable for identifying strategic changes and delivering the end-to-end, best-in-class onboarding client journey changes for Wealth and Retail Banking clients.
· Accountable for programme management of the end to end delivery of initiatives agreed under CLM Hive, Sales & Service SIRF programmes and FCE2E impacting WRB. This includes responsibility to manage and report all elements of the programme including milestones, costs, benefits outlined in the Investment Proposals

Strategic changes
· Assist in the formulation of the strategy to change the Onboarding operations of WRB that is digital first client experience, data and analytics led risk management.
· Drive and deliver agreed strategic priorities in the WRB countries.
· Anticipate and provide solutions to complex strategic questions and manage numerous senior internal stakeholders within the Group.
· Where specific subject matter expertise is required, bring together and facilitate the optimal outcome for the countries and communicate it in a clear and compelling way to key stakeholders.
· Manage the strategic communications for WRB Client onboarding across the Group.
· This role requires strong leadership and stakeholder management across Group, country, region/clusters, country business, CIB, TTO, Frontline, Compliance, Finance and Risk to ensure alignment across organisation on processes and projects relevant to Client Onboarding and delivering the end state vision
Business
COB Projects/ Programme management and governance
· Provide end-to-end PMO support for the Client Onboarding programme and responsible projects.
· Drive the timeline for these projects - ensure all responsible parties across the streams delivers according to the agreed timeline for each phase. Own and maintain related Global project plans.
· Work closely with other business, hives and functional leads to ensure effective communications.
· Responsible for ensuring completion of programme/ project documentation as requested by WRB COO PMO, FCE2E PMO, WRB S&S PMO and WRB QPR.
· Proactively promote and communicate relevant project and BAU operations narrative across key stakeholders including global business management and support functions as required
Processes
Operations Efficiency
· Work closely and drive the GBS and country teams for improving efficiencies in operations directly impacting the delivery of the above-mentioned operational metrics
· Work closely with GBS, Countries and CLM Operations of CIB to ensure appropriate levels of hubbing operations are achieved and that the outsourced hub is meeting the levels of service expected
· Establish tools for measurement and oversee reporting of key operational efficiency indicators such as
- Client Account opening Turnaround time
- Capacity management
- Productivity management
People & Talent
· Employ, engage and retain a high quality diverse workforce, with succession planning for critical roles.
· Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
· Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
· Proactively review team structure/skills and capacity as resource demand (quantum & skill-set) evolves.
· Lead a performance management process to ensure direct reports have defined responsibilities and objectives; transparent and balanced feedback; and clear and achievable career aspirations
Risk Management
· Transform operational reporting into analytical reporting that proactively identifies financial crime risk indicators in WRB
· Create set of financial crime risk dashboards that will be used for proactive effective risk management and escalations to Senior management.
· Actively contribute to the overhaul of the Operational Risk Framework (ORF) for the processes with a focus on ensuring that the processes are operating effectively within the WRB risk appetite
· Proactively challenge, change and contribute to the process and DOI design ensuring compliance to Group CDD and Segment procedures
· Working with peers and colleagues, contribute to the implementation of an effective governance framework to monitor and manage AML/ CDD/ Sanctions/ FATCA risks; this may include establishment and management of working groups and regional/ country Project Steering Groups

Our Ideal Candidate
· 10+ years’ experience in Financial Services industry with 5+ years experience in KYC/CDD
· Ideally a post-graduate or equivalent
· Prior Multinational company experience in the areas of Consulting for Financial Services or Auditing/Analyst in Big 4 accounting in the areas of KYC/CDD
· ACAMS or equivalent external certification in the areas of CDD/KYC, experience in FCC would be preferred and an added advantage
· Proficiency in verbal and written Mandarin would be added advantage as the role requires client interaction in Hong Kong & China
