In this role, you will play a key role in leading technical qualification of new beauty care product & manufacturing process to quality requirement of Beauty Care GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
Your team
Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center, you will a key member the Hair Care Research & Development organization. You will have the opportunity work in multi-functional teams and engage with both internal and external partners. This specific role will also require you to partner closely with our future manufacturing partner in Vietnam to bring innovation to market.
How success looks like
Success in this role pertain to quickly delivering technical qualification of new product manufacturing to meet quality requirement of Beauty Care GMP while building capability of our future manufacturing partner in Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process qualification of new hair care product technology at manufacturing scale in partnership with product supply functions, manufacturing partner companies and suppliers to deliver innovations to market.
- Manage initiative execution and lead manufacturing systems validation including aspect of Regulatory & QA compliance, microbiology daily management, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, and overall operations. Provide training and build technical capability at manufacturing site of our partner in Vietnam.
- Perform in the lab / pilot plant scale experiment to assess product performance, formulation stability and partner with technologist to identify, assess, and communicate technical risk in manufacturing process among stakeholders.
- Recommend technical interventions, robust solutions, and contingency plan.
- Lead process optimization for cycle time reduction and yield improvement.
- Lead manufacturing automation process to improve reliability and minimize lot to lot variation.
Job Requirements
- Minimium Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering related fields
- 5+ years’ experience in FMCG Manufacturing Process Design & Qualification in the beauty category
- Mastery in manufacturing process Design & qualification according to Beauty Care product GMP requirement
- Demonstrated track of record for manufacturing system start up (i.e. Process Validation, Cleaning & Sanitation Validation)
- Proven capability for technical troubleshooting, process optimization for cycle time reduction/yield improvement and automation improvement for Beauty Care manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to develop technical specification, translate technical requirement into manufacturing standard and develop technical capability of manufacturing site to deliver technical requirement
- This role will manage key interphase between P&G internal R&D and external manufacturing partner. Hence, experience working in both manufacturing and R&D environment is essential.
- Skilled in DOX (design of experimentation) and JMP software for Process data statistical analysis.
- Business proficiency in Vietnamese language is a must as the role requires communication with Vietnam based manufacturing partner(s) including manufacturing floor technicians & other native plant employees.
- Able to work independently, multi task and perform in a challenging work environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to use data to connect multiple ideas and develop solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with people from different cultures and levels, both internally and externally
