Salary: $3,500 – $4,000
Working Days: Monday - Friday, 9am – 6:30pm
Location: Bugis/Bras Basah
Contract Period: 1 year (likely Feb 2025 onwards)
Job Responsibilities:
1. Programme Coordination: Coordinate events and engagements that facilitate meaningful interactions and dialogue between volunteers and senior participants.
2. Partnership Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local organisations, schools, and other stakeholders, recognising them as key collaborators in the development and execution of the FM’s community programmes.
3. Operations Management: Work with appointed Event Management Company to manage the complex scheduling requirements for the programme – ensuring the successful assignment of suitable volunteers to event timeslots. To also manage all logistical matters to ensure programme effectiveness.
4. Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor the effectiveness of the programme, gather feedback from stakeholders, and prepare reports to assess the impact and success of the initiative. When required, to be on-site at the programme venue to evaluate performance of facilitators and volunteers, and implement suitable interventions should programme quality fall short.
5. Budget Management: Monitor and track budget utilisation of assigned programmes and prepare reports for proper accountability of funds and resources.
Job Requirements:
• A recognised diploma or degree in a relevant field.
• Preferably possess at least 1 year of experience in community programming, event management, or cultural outreach, preferably in a museum, garden or exhibition setting, with a demonstrated focus on interactions that cater to a diverse range of audience profile
• An interest in local history, particularly that of the pre- and post- Independence decades and/or experience with culture/heritage/arts sector-related work is preferred, though not mandatory
• Good command of the English language (written and verbal) – candidates who are proficient in a Mother Tongue language will be considered favourably
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse community groups and key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Some weekend and after-work hours engagements might be required – candidates should be prepared to exercise some flexibility in his/her work schedule
