Responsibilities and Duties:
- To perform all duties as a WSHO and FSM as stipulated in the Workplace Safety & Health Act and Fire Safety Act.
- Fire Safety Manager shall visit the sites and advise on all fire safety related matters as required in the Fire Safety Act and Regulations in aspects applicable to each site.
- Conduct fire safety inspection on each site at least twice a year and a report submitted to advise client any fire safety risk and to ensure compliance with the Fire Safety Act,
- Advise client on their fire emergency evacuation plans and procedures,
- Ensure that escape routes are not obstructed by unauthorized structures, goods or other disused items,
- Identify and advise client sites to eliminate potential fire hazards, and
- Ensure fire safety equipment, fire safety related systems installed and firefighting equipment are inspected and serviced by Contractors; and are operationally ready at all times.
- Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) is to provide safe work standards and practices.
- Review contractors’ site-specific risk assessment, safety documents etc. and to provide advice before work is done.
- Conduct checks to contractors to ensure there is adequate supervision of workers safety onsite and to make sure that they are complying with good WSH practices.
- Generate Fire Safety / Workplace Safety reports for submission.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience and shall have a valid certification from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) / have a valid certification for Workplace Safety and Health Officer from the Ministry of Manpower.
- Computer literate and possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess basic knowledge in contract administration, authority requirements and Workplace Safety & Health Acts.
Candidates must possess competency certificate in:
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM
- Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF
