Job Summary

The Marketing & Communication Executive will play a critical role in enhancing the visibility and reputation of SIDS. This position involves developing and executing marketing strategies, managing communications, and engaging with various stakeholders to promote SIDS's initiatives and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote SIDS's events, programs, and initiatives.
• Content Creation: Create compelling content for various channels, including social media, website, newsletters, press releases, and marketing collateral.
• Social Media Management: Manage and grow SIDS's social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
• Event Promotion: Plan and execute marketing campaigns for events, including webinars, workshops, conferences, and award ceremonies.
• Public Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and industry influencers to secure coverage and enhance the organization's public image.
• Brand Management: Ensure consistent and effective messaging across all communications and marketing materials.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with members, sponsors, and partners to foster strong relationships and support for SIDS's initiatives.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in SIDS's marketing efforts.
• Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and provide regular reports to the Marketing Manager.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role. Experience in the design or creative industry is a plus.
• Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

What you’ll do:

You will be part of a dynamic team in the PR and Communications department of the Singapore Heart Foundation, reporting to the Lead of Project. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

(i) Projects Management

· Develop and execute comprehensive integrated event marketing plans that align with SHF’s mission and goal by utilising social media, email, publications, websites, SEO, SEM, public relations, advertising, etc.

· Collaborate with cross-functional departments to integrate digital initiatives with broader marketing campaigns.

· Serves as the primary communications representative in internal and cross-departmental projects to coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of projects.

· Monitor progress of project and makes timely adjustments as needed.

· Analyse project performance metrics and provide recommendations for future improvements and optimisations.

· Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices and incorporate them into event marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

(ii) Digital Marketing & Social Media

· Be part of the conceptualisation, execution, management and analysis of SHF’s website, email marketing, digital campaign, social media, content marketing , SEM and etc., to ensure deadlines, targets and deliverables are met, and to increase brand awareness, engagement, and reach.

· Monitor and analyse digital marketing performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, or similar platforms to generate regular reports to track key performance indicators and provide insights for optimisation.

· Maintain accurate data records & documentations and perform analysis for performance optimisation.

· Make data-driven recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.

(iii) Public Relations & Media

· Collaborate closely with the PR agency for proactive media pitching, press releases, media advisories, media monitoring and reporting aimed at securing positive coverage in targeted media.

· Assist in the preparation of media materials such as briefing documents, fact sheets and Q&A documents to support media interactions and interviews.

· Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to gather information and insights for media enquiries, ensuring messaging consistency and accuracy across all communications.

· Assist in media relation, provide timely and accurate response to media enquiries.

· Conduct regular performance reviews with the PR agency to evaluate effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and optimise strategies for maximum visibility and impact.

(iv) Writing & Proofreading

· Conduct in-depth research on trending topics, news reporting, heart and health related information to generate new content ideas.

· Excel in writing articles, newsletter, speeches, social media posts, emcee scripts, marketing collaterals, SEO content, as well as any other necessary documents and reports.

· Excel in proofreading of all content for errors and inconsistencies.

(v) Video Production & Editing

· Responsible for conceptualisation, execution, management and production of short & long form videos (e.g., corporate video, livestreams, webinars and existing footages).

· Edit video content that adheres to company guidelines and standards.

· Communicate with third party vendor to ensure a smooth running of each video project when required.

(vi) Others

· Support the PR & Communications department in daily administrative tasks and perform other duties as requested to ensure all necessary tasks are performed in a proficient manner.

· Assist in managing third party vendors such as event company, production studio, translation house, social media agency, freelance photographer, etc.

· Strong project management skills, including the ability to deal effectively with crises.

· Excel in communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Familiarity with analytical tools, data visualisation, internet and technology-savvy, with a good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.

· Familiarity with social media (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) and basic understanding of tactical placement.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese languages.

· Good knowledge of photography and videography, with desirable proficiency in video editing and graphic design.

· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.

· Meticulous and with an eye for detail.

· Positive attitude towards learning.

What you’ll need:

• Preferably journalism/marketing/communications/film/event students from tertiary institutions.
• Minimum 2-3 years related working experience in Event & Digital Marketing, Project Management.
• Must be articulate, with excellent organisational skills, able to multitask and prioritise workload.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

The Executive reports to the Head, Community Partnerships and Corporate Communicates. The Executive builds and maintains positive relationships with our stakeholders and partners, including donors to build strong community partnerships and obtain the necessary support and resources for DSA to run its programs and services effectively in supporting persons with Down syndrome and their families. The Executive supports in corporate communications to create a positive public image and branding of DSA and promotes positive public relations.

Job Description:

Stakeholders Engagement

1. Build and maintain positive relationships with DSA stakeholders, including but not limited to donors, sponsors, volunteers, public, and media.

2. Build and manage collaborative community partnerships aligned to DSA’s objectives.

3. Represent DSA in various settings including but not limited to awareness talks and meeting with external stakeholders (corporate partners, schools, or volunteers).

Fundraising

4. Develop effective fundraising strategies and initiatives to meet DSA’s fundraising targets.

5. Engage the Association’s existing donors and build pipeline of future donors and partners.

6. Manage DSA’s online donation portals to attract potential donors and meet fundraising targets across all platforms.

Corporate Communications

7. Develop content and prepare communications to build positive public image of DSA and publicise DSA’s programs, services, and activities to enhance outreach and engagement.

8. Prepare DSA’s publications (e.g., newsletters, annual reports) and marketing collaterals (e.g., brochures, publicity materials) and any other related materials and disseminate them through appropriate outreach and communication channels and platforms.

9. Support DSA’s media monitoring and management and public communications efforts.

Other Duties

10. Prepare accurate and timely progress reports and project reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

11. Maintain updated and secure database and information to data analysis and data-driven approach towards stakeholders management and fundraising efforts.

12. Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and guidelines.

13. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Reporting Officer and/or Executive Director.
