Purpose and Scope

• Provide performance and process expertise and operational excellence in Energy & Utilities assets (Cogen Power plant, Demin Water and Steam production, Boiler etc) management to ensure good plant availability, reliability and optimization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Carry out plant performance monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization for Energy & Utilities assets (Combine Cycle Power Plants, Utilities Plants, Energy from Waste Plant, Wood Chip Boiler etc) to ensure good plant availability, reliability and optimization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• HSSE Compliance: Ensure adherence to plant Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards. Actively participate in HSSE walkdowns and initiatives to maintain high safety standards.
• Methodology Preparation: Develop, review, and implement Method Statements (MS) and Risk Assessments (RA) for all electrical and instrumentation work activities to mitigate risks and enhance safety.
• Maintenance Planning: Plan and schedule both corrective and preventive maintenance works. Collaborate with operations, OEMs, and contractors to prioritize tasks, mobilize workforce, allocate resources, and procure necessary spare parts.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor technicians in executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to procedures and standards.
• Issue Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot critical and major plant issues, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify solutions, and drive continuous plant improvement initiatives while managing costs effectively.
• Shutdown Management: Plan, schedule, and coordinate vendor/OEM shutdown maintenance of E&I systems. Lead shutdown activities and ensure thorough documentation is maintained.
• Procedure Development: Establish and optimize maintenance procedures for all electrical and instrumentation systems, promoting best practices.
• Instrumentation Expertise: Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting on field instrumentation, including control valves, performing loop checks, and executing calibration of instrumentation systems.
• Control Systems Proficiency: Troubleshoot and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems), with a strong emphasis on experience with Yokogawa Centum DCS systems.
• Electrical Systems Maintenance: Provide expertise in maintaining electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, MV/LV switchboards, Fire alarm and CCTV systems.
• Spare Parts Management: Oversee the review and maintenance of plant critical spare parts inventory, ensuring availability and readiness.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance manuals.
• Ad-hoc Duties: Execute other tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support operational objectives.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control System Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a power plant or utilities plant environment.

General Overview

This position is part of the Instrument, Control and Electrical team that provides maintenance and technical support to the Production, Mechanical and Project teams in the LNG Terminal. This position is responsible for establishing, reviewing and overseeing the relevant instrument & control design of newly build or modified equipment including implementation of minor instrument and control engineering projects, while ensuring the overall technical integrity of the terminal from the instrument & control (I&C) discipline perspective.

Roles and ResponsibilIties

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

• Provide technical support and solutions for the Production and Maintenance teams for instrument-related issues
• Liaise closely with Production and Maintenance teams as to how to reduce instrument maintenance costs and increase availability and functionality.
• Liaise with external stakeholder including government agencies on possible gas pipeline network and electrical power grid, instrument and metering interfaces to ensure conformity.
• Prepare and update instrument maintenance procedures for all instruments, PLC, Fire & Gas system, ESD, metering, CCTV and security equipment is up to date
• Conduct root cause analysis for instrument related incident and recommend preventive and corrective actions to prevent future occurrence
• Carry out MOCs project to resolve and improve instrument reliability and operational issues from engineering, construction to commissioning
• Ensure verification, inspection, testing and reporting to management in respect of all electrical and instrument equipment used for maintenance and their certification for use in hazardous areas of the terminal.
• Participate and provide support in execution of maintenance or major equipment turnarounds in the terminal
• Manage functional safety lifecycle of SIS in the Terminal
• Support expansion project from meeting overall facility integrity point of view, ensure smooth integration and any opportunity to leverage with existing Plant is captured
• The incumbent shall also participate in emergency response and may be assigned to a specific role and responsibility for such purpose.

Work Experience

• Minimum eight (8) years practical experience in an instrument & control maintenance / design function in an oil & gas or petrochemical Plant
• Conversant with local codes, regulations and submission procedures, and must possess expert knowledge of electrical & instrument international engineering design
• Experience in functional safety for the process industry as per IEC 61511. Certified functional safety engineer will be an advantage
• Experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance and trouble shooting of a variety of large and complex electrical, instrument and control equipment in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry is required.
• Experience with common PLC programming software and languages and able to troubleshoot third party equipment issues through program debugging. Experience with Siemens PLC will be an advantage

Education

• The candidate must have a good Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Candidate with professional accreditation or affiliation to professional bodies of engineers will have an advantage.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of electrical and electronics design, and to ensure its integration for Scorpio Electric’s electric motorcycle. The candidate for this role will require to be both hands-on in hardware design development and project management support.

To design and perform detailed designing for machine electrical control systems.

To write Programmable Logic Control (PLC) program for automatic machine control & processes. Preferably, with Industrial PC (IPC) programming experiences too.

To collaborate and work together with the Design Team (comprising of both mechanical & electrical members) for the design concept arising from new projects proposal and confirmed projects.

To lead the in-house electrical staff and/or the company’s appointed electrical vendors on the respective machine control and electrical systems and operations of the projects.
