The Restructuring and Insolvency team

Our restructuring and insolvency team works closely with industry professionals, companies and their stakeholders to identify and resolve issues affecting profitability, protect enterprise value and facilitate a full recovery where possible.

The team is made up of young and friendly professionals bringing about an easy-going culture. While projects are often performed in a pressurised environment, the team works collaboratively and supportively across all levels to be able to deliver their best. The leaders in the team are hands-on, guiding and teaching junior members to navigate situations and stakeholders that may be difficult or tricky. Each individual has the space to grow in their own way and to discover what is best for them.

Responsibilities

• Managing and executing day to day issues on restructuring and insolvency engagements (being, amongst others, liquidation, receivership, judicial management, scheme of arrangement, monitoring / exceptional accountant, debt restructuring and personal insolvency work)
• Liaising with stakeholders, creditors and other advisors
• Preparing draft correspondence, reports and presentations
• Reconstructing of (complex) accounting records from incomplete information
• Undertaking investigative work for the benefit of recovering assets for the insolvent estate and company analysis, including financial modelling where necessary
• Participating in client meetings and strategy discussions with supervisors and partners
• For insolvency matters, attending to statutory and compliance matters
• Assisting in department networking and marketing activities

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant field
• Minimum 6 years previous experience in a restructuring and insolvency team
• Experience in supervising work of associates, senior associates, and assistant managers
• Experience in fully managing a variety of projects and engagements
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word and financial modelling an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Daily Operations

• Outlet manager oversees the overarching aspects of the restaurant by cleaning of all areas, including the dining area, kitchen and restrooms
• To ensure the safety instruments are current and that safety procedures are followed
• Train and coach, employees in the restaurant to ensure that established standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation
• Outlet manager trains/provides training for newly hired staff to ensure each new employee understands the restaurant's philosophy and management's expectations
• Oversee all staff in the department to maintain healthy relationships with suppliers
• Understand all beverages offered, which includes the ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service
• Expertise knowledge of bar snack/food offered
• To be visible in the operation, provide recognition and promote good public relations

2. Attend F&B Meeting

• Schedule activities for restaurant staff according to guidelines and ensure proper uniform of staff at all times
• Maintain all restaurant equipment and ensure it compliance to the standards according to hotel policies and procedures
• Manage storage supplies and assign staff in requisition activities and evaluate all daily specials
• Oversees work in shift and restock supplies at the end of shift and perform regular inspections on all equipment and recommend required repairs

3. Guest Service

• Be readily available to customers to allay any concerns or problems that may arise
• Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems

As a Restaurant Manager, you shall willingly and diligently carry out the duties assigned to you, including but not limited to the following:

1. Oversee the service of the Restaurant.

2. Promote the Restaurant by establishing a loyal and regular customer base, maintaining a regular customer database and personalising customer service.

3. Take immediate action to deal with all guests’ complaints.

4. Ensure orderliness in the Restaurant, and handle emergency and difficult situations.

5. Manage all marketing and advertising activities and/or opportunities for the Restaurant.

6. Ensure that no standing bills stays on the system, and account for all voided bills.

7. Oversee the content, design, delivery and quality of all marketing, promotion and publicity materials, programs and services.

8. In charge of cost control ensuring that the monthly operational expenses of the Restaurant, is capped at an acceptable range.

9. Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, the maintenance of furnishings and equipment and the proper set up of the Restaurant and connected areas or pantries.

10. Ensure that all service staff are well groomed, properly attired and efficient.

11. Assist the Executive Chef in implementing training of service staff to ensure all service staff possess complete and thorough menu knowledge of the food and beverage items for all service periods.

12. Assist the Executive Chef in preparing the necessary data for the budget in respective areas of responsibility, project annual staff and beverage costs, take corrective action where necessary to help ensure that the Company’s financial goals are met.

13. Ensure a close professional working relationship with other staff members at all times.

14. Attend all team briefs as required.

15. Participate in monthly physical stock take of the Restaurant, including but not limited to glassware, plateware and crockery.

16. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Descriptions:

1. Lab Management

• Manage the laboratory's daily operations and analyzing of the precious metals content using scientific ways and any other duties related to the role.
• Manage laboratory set-ups including procurement and placement of all consumables, equipment, and fixtures.
• General maintenance of equipment and housekeeping of the laboratory.
• Monitoring the safety compliance of all lab consumables, equipment, and fixtures.
• Setting of the laboratory monthly and quarterly operational budget and monitor the budget closely.
• Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all analytical and laboratory equipment.
• Oversee related licenses applications.

2. Lab Sampling

• Instruct team members to prepare and do testing of precious metals laden samples from spent auto catalysts, electronic waste, gold refining etc on time and responsible for the test results.

3. Lab SOP

• Development of company’s Standard Operating Procedures for the testing and analysis.

4. Development & Implementation of new research.

• In charge of the gold & silver testing, drive the identification of testing and analytical methodologies for the testing and refining of base and precious metals from Spent catalysts, jewelries, and other precious metals laden scrap.
• Manage ICP & XRF and New Research and development of analytical and recovery methods and procedures.
• Work with the business team and other team members to support the development of capability and skill set to perform sample analysis of Precious Metals and determine the most efficient recovery strategy.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of gold and silver testing and refining technologies, ensure that the laboratory testing and refining level meet the market transaction standards.

5. Management of Team

• Involved in the recruitment (Interviewing) & retention of Lab staff and their skills upgrading.

Job Requirements:

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or any other equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in of laboratory management experience.
• Familiar with ICP & XRF detection precious metal technology and have no less than 3 years of ICP & XRF laboratory testing experience.
• Master gold and silver detection and recovery and refining technology will be an added advantage.
• Have experience in setting up and overseeing up ICP & XRF Testing lab including the license application from the relevant authorities.
• Have experience choose and setting up of equipment and processes to recover precious metals recovery including gold, silver, platinum, palladium is an advantage. Best if he or she is experienced in recovery rhodium.
• Experience in ISO renewals will be an added advantage.

We are currently looking for a Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to support site construction on behalf of our client. This individual should expect to work predominantly in site environment supporting our client's project.

Your day to day role would involve the following activities:

• Experience across a broad range of site electrical and instrumentation engineering projects; experience in industrial buildings (Pharmaceutical, Data Centre, Food or Energy projects) would be an advantage
