About the role:

• The T&C Lead Engineer will assist the T&C Manager in overseeing all testing and commissioning activities of the Contractors, including coordinating related activities that interface with the project.
• The T&C Lead Engineer will help lead the OE’s testing and commissioning team and coordinate with the Resident Site Supervision (RSS) Team, the OE’s design team, and the Contractors. This collaboration will focus on reviewing the development and execution of the Contractors' testing and commissioning plans to ensure the achievement of project milestones for each EPC Contract.
• The T&C Lead Engineer will support the T&C Manager in overseeing all aspects of the Contractors' testing and commissioning activities, including managing interfaces between EPC Package 1 and EPC Package 2. This oversight will encompass the entire process from dry/cold commissioning to hot commissioning, culminating in successfully completing the commissioning process and trial run, including optimization of plant operations with the Contractors and Operations & Maintenance teams.
• The role includes participation in regular T&C Coordination Meetings with the Contractor and/or other Contractors on adjacent sites, which may also include Client representatives.
• The T&C Lead Engineer will handle any other tasks delegated by the T&C Manager as needed.

About you:

• The T&C Lead Engineers shall have at least 5 years of hands-on relevant experience in testing and commissioning (and operation) of large scale solid waste management projects (Waste to Energy - WTE, sludge incineration, materials recovery and food waste treatment), or experience with large scale industrial/process/utilities projects (i.e. waste, water, oil & gas, power) testing and commissioning.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Software Engineer with a strong focus on backend development and data engineering. In this role, you will work on server-side development and contribute to data workflows for AI applications used within the construction engineering industry. You will be part of a dynamic team developing AI applications and data-driven solutions, collaborating closely with data engineers and software engineers, and reporting directly to the Lead Product Engineer and Lead Data Scientist. Responsibilities:

Backend Development:

- Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications primarily in Python, and in NodeJS (TypeScript)

- Develop RESTful web APIs and integrate them with frontend applications

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

- Implement security and data protection measures

- Collaborate with data engineers and software engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

Data Engineering:

• Design and manage workflows for data ingestion pipelines across cloud and Databricks services
• Develop innovative approaches to data ingestion and arrangement for unstructured data, including images, PDFs, written reports, and other free-text elements
• Use vector databases to store, persist, and extract embeddings from large bodies of vectors

This position has a strong focus on Campus Redevelopment, for which planning has started and the new buildings will be completed in about 6 years’ time. You shall provide support to Office of Campus Planning by working closely with the design team, medical planner and users’ in preparing technical specifications for tender, evaluate tender submissions and providing recommendations based on technical compliance of medical equipment, furniture and fitment for the new Campus.

You may also be required to attach to the Group / Site team to familiar with Group BME policies and procedures through supporting on the daily operations to align with organization and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Manage and support planning and procurement of medical, non-medical equipment, and furniture (where required)

• Plan and lead user workgroups by organising regular meeting sessions, setting goals and targets, facilitating useful and productive discussions, guiding user departments, as well as reviewing performance indicators and work plans

• Responsible for budgetary planning and control, ensuring that the development keeps within budget

• Work closely with user department and various stakeholders in the preparation of medical, non-medical equipment and furniture specifications for tenders

• Provide recommendation to users based on technical compliance of medical, non-medical equipment and furniture in tender submissions

• Support tender committees in their evaluation of equipment and services for procurement

• Write papers for approval on relevant subjects when required

• Keep abreast of healthcare planning topics and issues, so as to lead the hospital development in the desired direction

• Support the rest of the campus planning team where required

• Support Group biomedical engineering equipment functions

• Attach to Group / Site team to familiarise with Group BME policies and procedures through supporting the daily operations to align with organisation and regulatory requirements

• Liaise and manage external contractors on service and tender commitment issues

• Provide technical advisory to end users and senior management on medical, non-medical equipment and furniture related issues

Qualification Required and Area of Discipline

• At least a Degree in Electronics or in relevant Engineering course with at least 3 years of experience in service and maintenance of medical equipment
