SELECTION CRITERIA

-Minimum 3 year of teaching experience in elementary and secondary school or equivalent

-Experience in tutorial centers for primary and secondary students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading one-on-one or small group lessons.

• Provide necessary supervision and consultation with students
• Design learning goals for students
• Assist students with homework, test preparation, and academic lessons
• Help students to improve their academic performance and understand the key concepts of their lessons.
• Develop and provide materials to supplement classroom lessons, including study guides
• Conduct practice test to track progress, identify areas for improvement.
• Give advice and feedback about students’ performance to students, parents, and guardians.

Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Role

• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics (single subjects) at EITP (Lower Secondary)
• Teach subject of specialty (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) at International GCSE (O- Level).
• Teach Mathematics at International A-Level (IAL) and IGCSE (O-Level)
• Maintain attendance and achievement and class management records
• Provide regular reports on student performance
• Attend meetings to review performance

Additional Responsibilities

• Help maintain high levels of student discipline
• Implement strategies to help ensure students achieve the best possible examination results
• Take an active role in the welfare of students at the school
• Take an active role in extra-curricular activities
• Be available to give extra tuition to students who require this assistance
• Undertake any other duties as directed

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• A university honours degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related science subject.
• Relevant and recent experience as a classroom teacher.

Desirable

• Experience of teaching Pearson Edexcel programmes at Lower Secondary and International GCSE (O-Level)
• Experience of teaching international students using English as the medium of instruction
• Experience of providing English Language support for international students
