The Compliance function one of the pillars of the Group’s internal control setup, Compliance teams work both independently and in close partnership with the Business to adapt to the evolution of the Group’s activities and the requirements of the regulators.

The AVP Regional AML Advisory & Transaction Monitoring, will serve as a pivotal member of the APAC Compliance team, ensuring unwavering adherence to regulatory mandates and internal protocols.

Responsibilities

· Identification and Management of Compliance Risks

· Timeliness of (alert) review

· Quality of alert review and comprehensiveness of closure comments

· Transaction Advisory, MIS Reporting and other support

Requirements

· A recognized degree in Banking/Finance/Accountancy or related qualifications.

· At least 7 years of experience in AML Transaction Monitoring, preferably for Wealth Management.

· Excellent working knowledge of APAC regulations as well as their practical application.

· Experience in and strong understanding of AML, Sanctions, governance and regulatory control frameworks and best practices.

· Strong written and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coach the administration team members of Specialized Product Team
• Handle, check or approve the transaction administration: the securities settlement, custodian arrangement
• Handle, check or approve internal control sheets or execution slips related to regular transaction administration; oversee the BAU matters related to execution / ongoing transaction management
• Review transaction documentation on the pre-closing, and monitor its adherence on the post-closing for securitization and structured credit transactions, by working closely with the clients and transaction counterparties (e.g. legal counsel, accounting firm, trustee, custodian, securities clearing house)
• Regular reporting on compliance, account closing, audit or internal control required for the department. Ensure the corresponding procedures are complying with the internal rules and external regulations
• Propose improvement plan to streamline the group’s business procedure, in order to raise its effectiveness and efficiency for business developmen

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in transaction administration
• Minimum 10 years of experience in securitization business, with the expertise in securities settlement and custodian arrangement,
• Good knowledge to review transaction documentation on the pre-closing and monitor its adherence on the post-closing for securitization transactions.
