Summary of the Position

Chef De Partie – Pastry

Organise kitchen operations and prepare and serve a range of dishes, whilst supervising junior members of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes
• Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
• Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
• Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
• Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
• Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
• Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standardsPrepare in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service.
• Cook and serve dishes according to the menu.
• Clean and re-set their working area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle the daily maintenance of the room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest satisfactions
• Work in conjunction with Finance to maintain and minimize levels of account receivables
• Report on a regular basis to the FOM on the performance of the Front Office against operations and human resources performance. Analyze variances and monitor the impact of initiatives and corrective actions
• Manage the training and development of the team with an eye toward maximum Host’s satisfaction, productivity and guest satisfaction

The Warehouse Hotel was built in 1895 along the Singapore River as part of the Straits of Malacca trade route. As the Hotel’s primary point of contact with potential customers, the individual is pivotal in ensuring the customer’s reservations and enquiries are promptly confirmed and replied to. Strong communication skills over the phone and proficiency in basic computer software is essential in the daily maintenance and management of the customer database.

Job Description

You’ll be in charge of:

• Registration of guests at check-in, including the processing of all guest reservations and the assigning and blocking of rooms
