Roles & Responsibilities

• Work synergistically with the rest of the dental team to ensure effective and efficient daily clinic operations
• Assist dentists chairside and in the operating theatre to ensure procedural smoothness and patient comfort, creating positive patient experiences
• Uphold standards in infection prevention and control, sterilise and prepare instruments and equipment
• Provide administrative support, including performing frontline counter duties - answering phone calls, attending to patients and their enquiries, registration, general billing and cashiering duties, invoice filing, CHAS / insurance submission, scheduling appointments and follow up, confirmation of patients’ appointments

Job Description:

Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)

• Co-lead IPC Committee with Medical Director
• Organise IPC meeting
• Provide IPC training, conduct regular competency assessment and audit
• Perform mask fitting and keep proper records for all staff
• Ensure staff vaccinations are in compliance with MOH / AIC guidelines

Wound Management

• Supervise Staff Nurse to collate information on resident wounds
• Conduct regular rounds to advise Staff Nurse on best wound management and prepare report on wound care progress
• In charge of wound care products

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

• Review and update SOP to ensure nursing practices are in compliance with ENHS
• Brief Staff Nurse on any SOP updates / changes

Clinical Practice Standards

• Conduct weekly survey on wards to check and correct staff clinical practices and ensure proper usage of medical devices
• Report and monitor inappropriate practices

Training and Education

• Organise and conduct training and orientation programme
• Develop training materials and upkeep in-house training portal
• Provide guidance and audit trainers and preceptors to ensure uniformity of training syllabus

Qualifications:

• Full registration with Singapore Nursing Board
• Nursing experience in ward setting preferred
• ITE Industry Trainer Certificates an advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• A team player and able to work independently
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Overview:A Dental Clinical Assistant supports the dentist during patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient dental experience. They assist with clinical procedures, patient management, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Chairside Assistance:Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
   Prepare and arrange dental instruments, materials, and equipment.
   Hand instruments and materials to the dentist during procedures.
   Operate dental equipment, such as suction devices and curing lights.
   
2. Patient Care:Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
   Provide patients with information before, during, and after treatment.
   Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
   Ensure patient comfort and respond to patient needs during procedures.
   
3. Infection Control & Sterilization:Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories.
   Follow proper infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
   Prepare and maintain dental instruments and trays.
   
4. Lab Work:Prepare materials for impressions and restorations.
   Pour and trim models, and create temporary restorations under the dentist’s guidance.

Full time dental clinic assistant required to work 5 days :

Mon, Wed and Fri 10-8pm

Tues and Thurs 10-6pm

Duties include reception work, assisting dentist, sterilization and general cleaning. Experience preferred but not necessary as on-the-job training will be provided. Only Singaporeans able to commit for minimum 6 months should apply. Job Scope:
