Role Responsibilities:
• Provide Medical Science Laision support for the company business across APAC region.
• Communicate complex medical and scientific information to the healthcare community, including addressing unsolicited medical questions, adverse event reporting, and other clinically related medical information.
• Develop contacts with key clinicians, university teaching hospitals, group purchase organizations, and other medical/scientific groups.
• Develop functional working relationships with internal customers and contribute to the design and execution of plans that meet shared commercial, marketing, and clinical objectives.
• Act as a clinical resource with professional and advocacy organizations to develop relationships and identify potential opportunities.
• Identify institutions and clinicians collecting scientific data that may have the potential for publication and/or abstract presentation.
• Support the Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) and company clinical study program as required.
• Contribute to training (internal and external) as needed, particularly in relation to the design and creation of scientific/medical content.
• Provide product support to customers in the clinical environment as required.
• Support relevant internal teams in identifying and contracting healthcare professionals for education/training initiatives.
• Meet regularly with global medical team colleagues to coordinate on strategy and medical affairs support.
• The position is field based with upwards of 60% requirement
Non-Promotional Scientific Information
• Engages exclusively in activities conducive to scientific exchange, such as advisory boards, continuing professional or medical education events (CPD/CME), medical meetings, medical forums/summits (including Company-hosted meetings that are medical/scientific in nature).
• Engages in discussions regarding scientific and clinical evidence surrounding new and existing company products and claims.
• Provides relevant scientific background information for formulary decisions, treatment guidelines, and Public Health programs.
• Provides fair, balanced, objective, scientific information and education to healthcare providers, formulary committees, basic scientists, and internal business partners as required by identified business needs.
Competency and Development
• Ensures a thorough understanding of the therapeutic area and keeps up-to-date on all major studies, both ongoing and completed, competitive product information, and clinical data.
• Commits to the ongoing learning of scientific advances in the assigned TA and continually develops competencies.
Medical Governance
• Maintains in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Medical Governance framework, global and local SOPs, Rx & D, and local guidelines.
• Ensures that all activities are compliant with medical governance guidelines and are consistent with the Corporate Code of Ethics.
