Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Information Technology Recruitment team leader with extensive knowledge of the Australian technology market to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in sourcing and evaluating candidates for specialized IT positions, ensuring we attract top talent to drive our projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with hiring managers to define technical job requirements and create comprehensive job descriptions for roles including data scientists, systems administrators, and cybersecurity professionals.
• Screen resumes for technical skills and relevant experience in areas like programming languages, cloud computing, AI/ML and database management. (Java, Python, R, Data Analytics, AWS, Azure, GCP, .NET core, Cybersecurity)
• Conduct initial technical assessments and phone interviews to evaluate candidates' proficiency in relevant technologies, methodologies and problem-solving abilities.
• Manage & mentor the team of recruiters, track and report on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and candidate pipeline status, using applicant tracking systems (ATS) like Tallite, Greenhouse or Lever.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT recruitment to continuously improve sourcing and evaluation processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience as an IT recruitment team leader, within a tech-focused organization. IT recruitment experience in the Australian market is preferred.
• Deep knowledge and experience of various IT roles and technologies, including software development, cloud services, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in using ATS and recruitment tools (e.g., Tallite, LinkedIn Recruiter, Hired, Stack Overflow Talent).
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate candidates' technical capabilities and alignment with job specifications.

Mandatory Skills:

• Degree or Diploma in IT/Finance/Business with a proven track record of delivering results with consistency;
• Ideal candidate shall have good working experience in managing a team of IT Recruitment Consultants and/or portfolio of large clients within IT Search/Recruitment or Technology Staffing business;
• Passion for the search/staffing business is very much needed;
• Capable of making sound decisions in complex situations;
• Excellent communications, written and presentation skills;
• A person with a desire to live a meaningful life and with high integrity.

Desirable skill(s):

• Proven track record in managing an industry or a technology practice is an advantage.

Job Requirements:

• Formulate business plan, strategy, revenue forecast for IT Recruitment & Search services based on the business needs of the assigned practice of industry segment or technology arena or geography;
• Lead the practice with full ownership of both business development & delivery (or delivery only), with a successful execution to grow the business, and build relationships to ensure the customer delight within the assigned practice;
• Work towards exceeding the agreed monthly/quarterly KPIs to grow the portfolio of assignments within the practice;
• Hire, develop and manage the team’s productivity as per the demand of the business;
• Ensuring the team complies with Sciente values, policies and all laws.

Based on the performance, successful candidates can grow to Business Director position.
