We are looking for a Head of Development to help build and oversee our development teams here in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. The Head of Development will be responsible for managing and mentoring the development teams, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. The individual will also play a key role This role has the growth potential, and the right candidate may have the opportunity to transition into a CTO role in the future.
Responsibilities
- Build, Lead, and manage development teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with the product team, and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
- Drive the development process, including architecture design, coding standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
- Implement best practices for software development, including Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Identify and address technical challenges, risks, and bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions to overcome them.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and industry best practices, and champion innovation within the development teams.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the development teams.
- Work closely with the CEO and other seniors to align development efforts with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, team performance, and key metrics to senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a lead position.
- Extensive hands-on experience in .NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, Orleans & Kafka.
- Familiarity with MongoDB, MSSQL, and Entity Framework Core ensures seamless development
- Knowledge of front-end state management and Apollo GraphQL.
- Experience in working on a CMS and other SaaS products.
